25.01.2022 A version of the One Arm DB Row to put more emphasis on the lats as a stabiliser. Removing the external stability (such as holding the rack) forces you to internally stabilise. It’s common for people to compensate with traps and rhomboids but this variation forces the lats and core to work harder where an athlete may have difficulty doing so. This has been a great variation for those with recovering from a low back or shoulder injury. #powerlifting #bodybuilding #powerbuilding #rehab #strengthcoach

12.01.2022 An exercise I wish I could prescribe more often but most gyms don’t have the equipment. Main reason is the build low back resilience from those the may had low back pain for a various reasons. The anterior load forces the core to stabilise the spine. Also being able to move that load helps strengthen hip stabilisers in an ideal spine position that is forced by the anterior load of the sand back. 04.01.2022 One of my favourite episodes I’ve done so far. I’ve looked up to this guy for nearly 10 years @thibarmy and was a privilege to chat to him I’ve been utilising athletic profiling for a long time and in the last 3 year I stumbled upon neurotyping. A science behind using ones neurochemistry make up to determine ideal training stimuli. I tested and tried many things with it and found so many things and how this applied to so many things we already instinctively see as coaches. S...o I wanted to pick his brain on his discoveries on Neurotyping but more specifically the affects a neurotype have on training stimuli, recovery, peaking etc in a powerlifting prep. Was But there were so many cool things we talked about including programming, exercise selection, hormone, neurochem, psychology and much more. Here is a little snippet on managing volume.
