25.01.2022 When you have made the decision to refer your client on, who do you refer them to? GP, Osteo, Counsellor, Physio, Podiatrist, etc, etc? How to make that decision is sometimes a bit difficult. Let me know your thoughts on this subject. Stay safe guys. Cheers

25.01.2022 We've all heard the term "Muscle Memory". Well here is a perfect example of how the brain & the body can react to something that we have performed many times over our lifetime. Stay safe guys https://www.facebook.com/JenniferGarner/posts/3606646089378646

24.01.2022 After many years working with veterans hockey in NSW & also Aus, here is a study that shows the efficacy of post exercise massage compared to cold water emersion - ice bath - in older athletes. And it's published in a scientific journal too! Stay safe guys https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33210806/

24.01.2022 Still on the topic of DOMS - Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness here is an article I came across on the use of an Epsom Salts bath. I know for myself that this really does help my recovery after a big session & I have also found that rinsing off under a shower after the bath also helps. Very interested in hearing your thoughts or experiences with this. Stay safe guys! Cheers https://www.runnersworld.com//a27/benefits-of-epsom-salt/.

09.01.2022 Staying with trauma related anxiety & its associated problems for several of my clients & researching further into how STT can be of benefit I came across this interesting research article. Let's hear your thoughts on it. https://www.gavinpublishers.com//veterans-with-post-trauma

09.01.2022 Bugger! My personal FB page has been hacked so please don't open anything from me. I do not send links on FB. I have now made the necessary changes. Sorry all!

08.01.2022 As clinicians & therapists we treat a wide variety of clients & given the alarming statistic that 1 in 4 Australian women have been victims of sexual assault, we are no doubt treating some women who are in this group. I personally have had a few female clients over the years open up to me that they had been assaulted & I admit I did not know what to say or what to do! I have since educated myself around this & though I'd share this interesting article on the subject . . . . https://www.noigroup.com//caring-for-female-sexual-assaul/

07.01.2022 As more & more clinicians have added adjunct techniques such as dry needling, cupping, Kinesio taping etc, to their treatment protocols, do our clients have an understanding of why we are using these extra tools in our treatments? As a therapist, do you add these techniques because it is the latest thing? Can you explain to your client how this technique benefits them? As a client do you feel that these added techniques are a benefit to you? I have increased the usage of Kinesio Tape in my treatments over the past 5 years & always make sure of the outcome, positive or negative! https://www.massagemag.com/kinesiology-taping-massage-ther/

07.01.2022 Can any of you relate to this? https://www.facebook.com//a.3545779412748/3470126743053243

03.01.2022 Every sport has it's own set of common injuries so here is a link I came across on golfing injuries. Biomechanics also plays an important role in both treatment & recovery so why not suggest a session or 2 with the golf pro at their club to resolve some of those technique issues. https://www.golfchannel.com//golf-/10-common-golf-injuries

02.01.2022 We've all heard the cry "NO PAIN - NO GAIN!" (Anyone for some more Cross-fit?) . . . . Well here is an interesting article titled "Know pain, Know gain!". Let me here your thoughts https://www.jospt.org/doi/full/10.2519/jospt.2016.0602

02.01.2022 When do you decide it would be in your clients best interest to refer them to another Allied Health practitioner?
