24.01.2022 Dont be afraid to let your kids get dirty and play during their session. In fact, come expecting them to. Encourage it, and better yet, get in there yourself and dig, splash, climb, discover... if youre worried about your kids not enjoying getting family photos done, then make it something they will enjoy. The photos are just a bonus of the amazing afternoon youre going to spend together... I cant wait to tag along on your adventures

21.01.2022 MODEL CALL The main reason for me stepping back on the amount of sessions I take on this year is to allow for more family time, the second is to allow me some time to create just for me. To have a vision and follow it through. I would love to hear from women who would be interested in being involved in a motherhood shoot with me this year. 20.01.2022 People often worry about their little ones being upset during our session, but to be honest there isnt anything that captures motherhood like the sweet embraces that happen so naturally and effortlessly when our babes need comfort and reassurance. If your little ones need comfort during our session, take the time to do just that. Really allow yourself to just be present with them. To kiss their forehead and hum softly in their ear. To wipe their grazed knee or listen to thei...r concerns. I promise you there will be plenty more time and plenty more moments to capture during our session. My experience has taught me that. My biggest advice to parents is to forget any scenarios you had in your head about what you wanted to have photographed And simply allow yourself to be in each moment with your kids as they unfold. 20.01.2022 Today I took the kids to the beach and the afternoon sun was glorious. It really didnt feel like winter at all. I looked around at all the carefree 20- somethings closing their eyes and absorbing the suns rays, listening to music or reading a book. I remembered back to my own carefree 20s... weekend plans, Uninterrupted dinner dates, staying out to Watch the sun go down, having a drink with friends, watching live sports or music... it all felt like so long ago. I tried to r...emember the last time I was alone for an extended period of time without any to-do list? The last carefree day Id had just for myself... as far back as I searched in my mind, I couldnt remember it. I wonder if Id realised back then ( in my own carefree 20 -something days) how much my life would change after having kids if I would have savoured those moments just that little bit more. 17.01.2022 Before I was a mother, I was a sister, to 8 siblings... the 3rd eldest in my family I honestly believed my days of caring for my younger siblings gave me so much experience that having children of my own would feel like a walk in the park....Buuuuut the truth is I could have cared for a hundred children that werent my own and it still could not have prepared me. Motherhood has been the biggest challenge and the greatest adventure I have ever embarked on. I feel equally exhau...sted and elated by it with every passing day. Being even a little part of this journey for so many of you is such an honour... I often think about my mamas as they enter that whirlwind of love and hormones and sleeplessness that is life with a newborn. I arrive to a session a relative stranger, here to take some pictures and I always leave feeling like I have gained a friend. 17.01.2022 Overwhelmed by the amount of enquiry after opening bookings for 2021 last night... Im already so excited to meet you all and to see many familiar faces again! thank you to everyone who has shown this little dream of mine support wether here from the beginning or just booking your first session for next year. There was a time I wasnt even sure if anything would come of my business and now Im booking out the next 12 months! MIND BLOWN . Also thank you for all your beautiful comments on the film I shared last night, I have so many more to share with you including another one tomorrow that would have to be one of my favourite to date! 17.01.2022 Give me all the newborns please. - - If you are expecting a little one this year its best to get in touch as soon as you can. I only take on very limited newborn sessions per month due to the uncertainty of when your beautiful bundles arrive. I want to make sure I will be able to juggle my schedule to fit you in should they not show up at exactly the time you were expecting ( whos ever does right? ).

16.01.2022 Taking more time to spend with these two cherubs has been number one on my list of goals for this year. Downsizing our living arrangements to cut back on costs and allow me to take on a few less sessions each month was how I went about it. Although I wont see the changes immediately as I was already pretty booked for the next couple of months before I made this decision, Im looking forward to seeing what kind of balance it brings towards the end of the year. Im excited to... plan weekends away on occasion that werent a possibility before. Im excited to have more time with husband who is often solo parenting in weekends Im away... it feels like not such a long time ago I was wondering if Id have enough sessions that month to even keep this little dream of mine alive, and now Im CHOOSING to take on less. I feel so blessed for all the overwhelming support my little business has had over these past few years. For the growth (personally and creatively). I wouldnt be here without you all. 2020 almost completely booked! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. There isnt any other job Ive had in this lifetime that fills me with as much joy as capturing the love between your families... For those who have a session booked this year I cant wait to meet you! 15.01.2022 I called a client the other day, who was booking in their session for next year and they stopped me during our conversation and said I just wanted to mention I’m a photographer too , I hope that’s ok? Just in case anyone’s else wanted to know the answer to that question, 110% yes it’s ok! it’s mooooorrreee than ok! I love photographing other photographers and the people they love and have had many sessions capturing other photographers (in fact here’s one of those sessions right here ) I know some people can be funny about it, but honestly it’s an honour and the highest compliment for me. If you’re a photographer, don’t be shy... come and say hi! I’ll be opening up bookings for the second half of 2021 very soon and still have dates available for cozy winter sessions in June!

13.01.2022 On a beautiful sunny Autumn day before all this craziness started I got to spend the afternoon with the Gold family capturing their love in motion. I'm beyond excited to be able to offer these sessions again. I have some more amazing films to share with you soon that I'm currently working on and super proud of. 11.01.2022 Today I walked with my little guy in the carrier ( havent done that in so long as I normally have his sister with us and its just easier to bring the pram for when she runs out of steam) I realised I only have a few months before hes too big to go in it... its only a matter of time until Ill look at him and hell be as big as these two time is passing way too fast for my liking...

09.01.2022 Sending so much love and big virtual hugs to all the Photographers in Victoria going through lockdown for the second time in just months... its an eye opening shock to the system to see just how quickly things can head south and how careful we still need to be to avoid the same thing happening here. Feeling blessed to still be able to capture families and crossing everything we can avoid a second spike here.

It looks like ( pending deposits) Ill only have a few sessions left this year for November and December after this week so if you are hoping to get in before Christmas now is the time to book your session. I will be opening up Jan - March bookings in the next few weeks so if you would like a session for summer keep an eye out here. They tend to go the fastest!. 07.01.2022 Today was simple, and beautiful and oh so needed. Time with family... no shoots. That hasnt happened in so long on a weekend and it was something that I wanted to factor in to my schedule this coming year. A day or two a month just for us all to spend as a family. No juggling the kids between us while we fit in work. Both of us TOGETHER and present with our kids and with each other.

06.01.2022 I first photographed this little guy as a newborn... Im always amazed to see how much children grow and develop their unique personalities between sessions. I feel deeply privileged to be allowed to witness these close and tender moments between families that so few people outside your immediate family get to see. I honestly have the best job in the world. I get to make art and capture memories for people who really value what I create. Thank you to all my beautiful families for making that possible...

02.01.2022 I love it when families walk away from a session telling me they enjoyed the experience as much as receiving the photos themselves. We live such busy lives these days thats it can be so refreshing to be in a situation where you are forced to switch off from distractions for a couple of hours and do nothing else but connect with those you love most in nature while the sun goes down...
