04.01.2022 Last year, Museum India opened its doors to the community to attend a fundraiser organised by Federation of Indian Origin Multi-Faith Organisation Inc (FIMO). Fund were raised for victims affected by the April 25 Nepal Earthquake to support the Hare Krsna Food for Life Project. The fundraiser was a success with thousands raised to help the victims of the April 25 Nepal Earthquake. Museum India supported this event by creating a new multi-faith body of work. On the evening, ...a multi-faith iron shield was unveiled by the Mayor of City of Greater Dandenong (Cr Sean OReilly), FIMO President (Paramjit Jaswal), Museum India collection owner (Dr Dinesh Parekh) and Indian Community Leader - Vasan Srinivasan. Presenters included - Sheikh Zainuddin (Nakshbandi Sufi Order - Islam), Navaratna Arts (Hinduism), Hare Krishna Melbourne (Hinduism), Simon Kearney, Samir Mozayan (Bahai Faith) and Satwinder Gabbi + Family (Sikhism) We were very grateful for the presence of the then Mayor of City of Greater Dandenong, Cr Sean OReilly, and all the religious leaders, performers, volunteers and guests that took part and braved the wet weather. Below are few shots from the evening taken by Mr Guruswamy.
