Our current exhibition, Deep Light, takes you on a journey to discover the encounter between HMAS Sydney (II) and raider HSK Kormoran off the WA's coast during World War II Both ships were rediscovered in March 2008 and in April 2015, an expedition to the wrecks by Curtin University and the Western Australian Museum commenced, with the objective of using 3D imaging to map the wrecksites for... further study, and to determine if any deterioration since the 2008 discovery requires the development of a conservation management plan. Discover the incredible technology utilised to reveal the fate of the ships on the seabed and watch the award winning 3D movie. Deep Light's last day at the Museum will be Sunday 23rd of August.
