19.01.2022 It truly saddens the MUSIAD Sydney family to hear that a centre promoting peace and harmony was under the very attack it strives to prevent. Auburn Gallipoli Mosque has often promoted bridge building events in order to ensure peace and harmony is the norm among Australian citizens dispelling mistrust, hatred, enmity and violence. The prophet (saw), when asked, 'who is the best adherent to Islam,' responded 'He from whose tongue and whose hands humanity sees no harm.' It is th...is injunction that the mosques' committees, Imams and members do their utmost to promote social serenity. Another injunction however, found in the Qur'an, is to 'repel evil with what is better.' That is, the Muslim should respond kindly to those who are harsh, be gentle to those who may be intolerant and forgiving to those who may upset us. As such, we are certain that the mosque members will respond in a manner that is constructive and be moved to strive even harder to build bridges and promote peace and harmony between God's creatures on Earth. Our hearts go out to Mosque's community and we pray that no human being be the recipient of such hatred, regardless of their background or their beliefs.

17.01.2022 There may be many obstacles in life, but the only way to remove them is to love. Disability is not a fault but a difference; as long as our hearts do not prevent it from loving. 3rd December World Disability Day.

11.01.2022 MUSIAD Sydney board member Soner Coruhlu was invited as the guest sheikh of honour at this year's annual iftar program hosted by the honourable Julia Finn, member for Granville. Soner Coruhlu illustrated the importance of realising that worship is a means to attain piety, righteousness, God consciousness and excellence in character. He emphasised the importance of not confining the object of worship to worship in and of itself but as a means to attain spiritual empowerment and to utilise as a tool to imprison the temptations of the lower self. Present also was a number of reputable Islamic scholars and members of parliament one of which was the labour party's shadow premiere, the honourable Jodi McKay. It is truly satisfying to witness the MUSIAD Sydney family is involved in such a high degree of diversity.

01.01.2022 19th of May 1919 is the day when Mustafa Kemal Ataturk arrived in Samsun and effectively initiated our struggle of liberation in Anatolia for an independent Turkish state 102 years ago. This day commemorates the glorious struggle of the brave Turkish nation against the forces of colonialism and occupation. On this special day, we commemorate our great leader, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk with gratitude. As Ataturk said we will continuously endeavor with our young generations to eternally protect our country’s independence. #gratitude #leader #freedom #commemoration #mustafakemalataturk #19mays #musiad
