25.01.2022 Beginner piano for a two-year-old is all about getting to know the instrument as a friendly, warm, sonically interesting place to be. Ducks, Donkeys and tiny nursery rhyme books are essential in our toddler music programs! Instead of "teaching" music, we encourage it by playing on and at the piano together. That toddler already is a musical child.

16.01.2022 We have a new baby program for 0-13 months. Heres Carol trialing it in a local setting, Quinliven Road Early Learning and Kinder. Contact us if youd like to be in the trial phase. The enthusiastic movements were for the boy standing close who wanted eye contact. He also liked having his movements imitated, watch the head shakes. This segment was pretty loud! It wasnt all like that, a few minutes later they were dancing in a circle and then lying on the floor for a lullaby. There are so many great music activities that work with babies. They loved it all! Thank you to the Centre for your cooperation and positive response.

07.01.2022 Its our birthday. Musical Child is sweet 16. A big shout out to all of you using the music and lesson plans in your community music group, music academy or early learning centre. Today we were lucky enough to chat with the program leader of Little Musicians in Coober Pedy, a tiny opal-mining town in Outback of South Australia. Theyve kept their music going through thick and thin for 11 years. Heres a photo of Mish Bown training them in April 2009 when they first started. Look at all those new instruments and the smiley faces! Community togetherness is crucial no matter where you live.
