24.01.2022 Make Music Day 2020 is just around the corner, and youre invited to participate in the global celebration of music-making taking place on Sunday, June 21. Beginning as the Fete de la Musique in France in 1982, it has now grown into a worldwide event in over 1000 cities across 120 countries. This year Make Music Day has a dedicated focus on online and digital activities due to the impacts of COVID19. For our 2020 solo sessions, creative designer, Michelle St Anne was asked to direct the 12 videos. She writes, My theme was 'all dressed up with no place to go', hence the socks and bare feet combined with high fashion. The videos are in black and white and a still life is featured on the left of the performer for each work, highlighting how the mundane of everyday life can become poetic over time.
