14.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK We are thrilled to have had so many requests this week (NAIDOC WEEK) from schools wanting to replay footage of our Indigenous Language (Wajarri) performance of the 2020 Program Song from last week's fabulous Celebration Day Broadcast. 14.01.2022 Despite the current devastating ban on group singing in NSW schools, our 2020 MCUI Celebration Day will go ahead as planned on November 5th, with the unique addition of a full and featured performance of the Program Song in Auslan. As always the event will be live-streamed around the country with all registered schools from anywhere in Australia able to take part. We encourage all schools to learn the Auslan translation so that they can perform alongside the Signing Choir fro...m RIDBC Thomas Pattison School who will lead the way! Register your school now and access our 'Learn the Auslan Translation' videos which feature step by step demonstrations/instructions for teachers. 07.01.2022 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY Wed 30th September 2020, 4.30pm (Adelaide time) Music Count Us In and the Orff Schulwerk Association of South Australia (OSASA) are pleased to invite teachers from anywhere in Australia to join their FREE online Professional Development event, delivered by much loved South Australian presenters Michael McConnochie and Michael Aquilina (aka ‘the two Michaels’!)... The PD session will feature a range of practical demonstrations, activities and teaching resources. These include Boomwhacker scores, graphic notation, and 2 fabulous stick percussion scores which can be used to teach a fun and engaging flashmob/whole school performance piece! All activities and resources have been designed with Covid-19 restrictions in mind (including limited group singing in some states), and are ready for immediate use in the classroom. The resources will also be made available to registered teachers online via our MCUI Website and MCUI 2020 Professional Development Youtube chanel.
