23.01.2022 ...Also known as the parachute but I think I like upsidedown umbrella too I use the parachute with calming music and the end of each class. My classes are small so it is possible to have the kiddos under the parachute lying down watching the colours billow around them. Mind you it doesn't always happen that way! We have squirming, wriggling, jumping, kicking and rolling too. But under there, the kids are actually learning how to move their body's safely and becoming aware of others and I reckon those lessons are pretty important too.

19.01.2022 What a night! Went to @toopeaspod live show in Ringwood last night with @megansteven3903 . I laughed, teared up, related to so much and felt so warm and fuzzy. Also Kate thanks for the special mention about coming from Mansfield haha! We also had a beautiful music incursion thanks to the @teenytinystevies and I even fan girled afterwards rambling something about being a #musictherapist and using their music... and they thanked me. No way! Huge thanks to you for creating such beautiful accessible music. Got home at midnight but with a full cup!

12.01.2022 Today is Star Wars day and all that may the force/ fourth be with you stuff going on. I look back at this pic from 2 years ago when he was in RCH and think geez my kid has kicked some massive goals with a whole lotta force behind him. Today he left for 4 days of surfing, paddleboarding and exploring with his school mates for camp. What a huge achievement for this kid who has been through so much. And for the teachers at the camp....may the force be with you.....

10.01.2022 Today is a day where I say thanks to my kiddo for making me a Mum, the Mum figures in my community, but also thanks to My Mum who lives far far away! So to my Mum, thanks for taking a huge leap and following Dad across the world leaving your family behind in Northern Ireland. Thanks for carrying me during a hot summer in Wagga while running around after my sister. Thanks for having uncanny timing when we end up in hospitals, both Louie and myself. Thanks for the piano ...teaching tips of which you have many and singing tips too! And thanks for the weekly phone calls where you let me just go blehhh about stuff. And thanks to Louie , who made me breaky in bed and still lets me hug him tight every day. See more

09.01.2022 Laughing is so gosh darn good for ya and you know you've done a jolly good job in your session when: the kid is laughing so hard he has tears, has to lay down and says "I can't stop laughing"!!. My magic trick, be a kid right along with them! Yes music therapy uses music of course, but at Music Garden I use lots of play, puppets, silly sound effects, hilarious voices and for a guaranteed giggle time, fart jokes...... 04.01.2022 First week back at work and wowzers some kiddos have grown! Piano kids kicked butt this week trying new games and ready for new challenges. I got to see all my Music Therapy participants which was brilliant Met some newbies too which was fun but also got my brain ticking overtime so I was glad when Saturday arrived. Music Therapy is an amazing way to connect, create and see everyone grow either by reaching specific goals or feeling more confident and ready to take on the ...world. 02.01.2022 The time has come! Our first Pop Up class for kids under 6, is this Thursday at 10:30. Will run for 45 minutes with 15 minutes at the end to purchase bonus sensory toys or books and to have a chat of course. Places are limited due to size of the room and Covid restrictions, so when you email me to find out the secret location, ooo, ahhh, please tell me how many kiddos in total will be attending. I have 3 spots left for this week. Cost is $10 per child session only, $...15 for session plus sensory toy, $25 for session, toy and book about Aussie Animals.
