13.01.2022 Some memories from the past few months... Thank you so much to @londontopaz_ , his team and @blushkokickeet for an amazing first experience with live shows and festivals I had only ever attended 1 music festival in high school before @londontopaz_ asked me to tour with him this Summer and sing at some Together, we ticked off so many things on my bucket list; Singing on big stages with a crowd, playing at @beyondthevalleyfest, using ‘In-Ear Thingys’ (lol)- to name a few. Thank you guys for the endless opportunities, support and most importantly, the faith you had in me to be a part of your music journey. You’ve both been the best start to mine

10.01.2022 Our world needs a desperate change, we need to change. I have been listening, learning and spending time this week to educate myself on systemic racism and the injustices POC face everyday- not only in America, but in Australia and worldwide. I’m sorry to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery. I’m sorry to Indigenous Australians. I’m sorry to all POC. I’m sorry that it took the attention of your murders in the media to prompt myself and others to educate ourselves MO...RE on this issue that is one of the greatest diseases our world is experiencing today; that being racism. I refer to it as a disease, as it will continue to spread and hurt innocent people for as long as we stay silent. We aren’t born ‘racist’ or ‘non-racist’, we learn to be either of these things and I will actively use my voice in the hope we can prompt a racist-mind to unlearn what it has been taught and to make sure we’re teaching the new generations of humans to do the right thing. I’m ashamed that because of my white skin, I have privilege over someone who has non-white skin, but I acknowledge feeling ashamed and simply being ‘non-racist’ is not enough now; I need to recognise this and accept responsibility that I must use this privilege to actively speak up and amplify the voices of those who have suffered and those who are STILL suffering today because of their skin colour. It’s sickening, heartbreaking and unfathomable that we are in 2020 and this is still happening. If you’re wondering how you can help today, there are petitions you can sign calling for justice for POC in Australia AND the US. There are also sites where you can donate your money to. I will be sharing some to my Story and you can also DM me or comment below- let’s talk and not feel uncomfortable calling for justice, it’s the least we can do when our black friends and neighbours are made to feel uncomfortable every single day by how our society is currently built.
