11.01.2022 To all my Musicology follows & listeners. This post really pains me to write but unfortunately I have decided to cancle my Musicology program. I have been pre-recording the show for over a month now and unfortunately the program department at 97.9fm are having trouble playing my show between the 8am & 10am time slot. ... I'm sure you have noticed the last month the shows have been playing late and finishing early with big chunks of the shows missing. The wrong shows have been aired with double ups of the same shows been aired and todays show is not even playing at all. This is incredibly frustrating & disppointing for me especially because it is out of my hands and it is a technical issue with 97.9fm. I take alot of time to pre-record these great shows with fantastic Music & Musicology fun facts and content. But if my shows are not going to be played properly there is really not point spending hours putting them together for know one to hear because 97.9fm can't correct a technical issue. So I would like to thank everyone who ever listened to Musicology and tuned in. I apologise once again I am very uppset and disappointment however it is out of my hands. Thank you again DJ GENESIS

07.01.2022 Musicology Anniversary: Today in Musicology History June 10th 2004... The Legendary Ray Charles passes away at age 73 from liver disease. The soul singer & piano man began to learn to play the piano at age 5 sadly two years later he went completely blind after being stricken with glaucoma. He got he's first record deal in 1952 with Atlantic Records. Many hits followed in he's long career "I got a woman," "What'd I say," "Georgia on my mind" & "Hit the road Jack" just to name a few. By 2004 Ray's Catolog includes 50 studio albums & 127 singles. He has won multiple grammy awards including lifetime achievement award and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. In 2004 biographical Movie, called Ray, starring Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles was released in October. Ray Charles was set to attend the premiere but sadly past away months before its opening. If you have not seen 'Ray' it is definitely a must see movie. 06.01.2022 It has come to my attention that todays show was a repeat of last weeks show I deeply apologise it was supposed to be Aria Award Edition today. The reason for the mix up is because I have begun a new job and I am unable to do the show live anymore. So instead of canceling Musicology altogether which is something I didn't want to do I have arranged to pre-record the show each week. ... This is given to 97.9FM production team and they play the show every Tuesday morning. However today for some reason they have made an error and played the wrong show. So once again I apologise & I hope this wont happen again. Thank you for your support & understanding.

I will be posting new shows here and you will start to see some old shows that will be available once I have completed editing some of our past shows.
