25.01.2022 Once again a big thank you to Pete and Kerry from Rustflower for bringing their wonderful original foot stomping and heart warming music to Music on Flinders. It was a treat on a beautiful warm sunny Monday in the heart of the city.



24.01.2022 This coming Monday March 2nd from 12.30 -1pm the amazing music keeps coming at Music on Flinders with Daz Werner. Daz Werner known as Big Daz is a singer, songwriter and guitarist who performs songs from 90's rock to classic hits and a range of original tunes. Known as the host of 'In Seen' music show at the Seacliffe SLSC, and host of Thursdays Jam Club at The Duke Hotel, Big Daz offers something for everyone when he performs.

24.01.2022 Next Monday November 30th Ashlee and Joseph will be gracing the stage at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. Ashlee and Joseph mix a blend of styles into a smooth acoustic duo, with rhythmic yet intricate guitar carrying Ashlee's warm, crooning vocals. Follow their music for covers ranging from pop classics to contemporary indie and soul songs and everything in between. Music on Flinders is a free pop up music event held under the cool shady trees on the forecourt of Pilgrim Church 12 Flinders Street.

24.01.2022 Tonight in the The Town Hall Meeting Hall behind Pilgrim Church one of Music on Flinders favourite sons Brett Monten has a ripper show on offer called The Music of John Mellencamp at 8.45pm. 23.01.2022 Tomorrow Monday November 9th the recently reformed Buffalo Drive Alive will be rocking Flinders Street at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1.30pm. 'Life’s Been Good to Me’ on Polydor climbed to #8 on the 5AD charts, which was pretty good for local rock/harmony band Buffalo Drive. After winning the 1973 ‘Live Act’ 5KA Rock Award at the Festival Theatre they toured South Australia city and country; Melbourne, Perth and Sydney; schools, churches, festivals, pubs and clubs. They were together (6 piece then 4 piece) for 4 frantic years before they went their separate ways, often musical. 2 members (Valdis & Hayden) have died, 4 are still alive and kicking - David, (Graham), Rodney (Bods), Vello and Rod. Buffalo Drive in it’s revived format are joined by guitarist and backing singer Peter Farley.

23.01.2022 Flinders Street dwellers enjoyed a powerhouse performance today by Gene Phoa at Music on Flinders today. Gene's intricate rhythmical guitar playing set a solid foundation for his passionate vocals as he performed his original songs. Adding deft foot work on his array of magical pedals, Gene created wonderful soundscapes to add layers to his sound. Thanks Gene for the awesome performance and for stepping in at the very last minute!

22.01.2022 This coming Monday March 16th guitarist Pussyfoot will be performing at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. The Adelaide musician Joseph Hannah(Stage name Pussyfoot) is a guitarist specializing in instrumental acoustic arrangements of popular songs, approaching the instrument with a variety of styles such as blues, jazz, classical and blue-grass. His music is captivating, minimal and magical and displays a lifetime of commitment to the instrument.



21.01.2022 Music on Flinders will be happening today Monday November 23rd as originally planned. Adelaide singer/songwriter Sue Baker will be performing her beautiful original songs from 12.30-1pm. She may be in her mid-60s, but Sue revels in her music. Sue’s debut album Bit of Earth released in 2010. And a second album is being recorded right now, with 13 new tracks. Both recorded & produced by Jamie Blechynden of Stella Studios of Tanunda. All are original songs written by Sue. Sue...’s songs are full of metaphors of nature, life and love, and best described as alternative folk, with hints of country folk, jazz and blues in the mix. 21.01.2022 Casey Thomson and John Bowman will be performing at Music on Flinders next Monday December 9th at 12.30 -1pm. Casey Thomson is a South Australian composer and performer. She has performed solo and with a variety of groups over the past 15 years. Her writing reflects her wide taste in music and she is currently recording an album of jazz/rock/pop songs. Casey has written, produced and performed in Lowground, a musical retelling of Grimm's Rapunzel at the Bakehouse Theatre in May 2018. Casey is joined by singer/guitarist John Bowman who adds spine tingling harmonies and rip-roaring rhythm guitar to the mix.

21.01.2022 Thanks to Big Daz for bringing his big rock voice and epic songs to Music on Flinders today. There was sunshine, singing and dancing in a slightly different location out the back today.

Will Metzer is a Jazz singer and pianist based in Adelaide but has played pianos all over the world! His love of jazz is coupled with an incredible knowledge of all music. Willy manages Jazz It Up, Adelaides premier jazz band.

19.01.2022 This coming Monday February 10th the wonderfully talented Ziggy Hammond will be gracing the Music on Flinders stage at 12.30 -1pm out the front of Pilgrim Church 12 Flinders Street under the shady trees on the forecourt. Ziggy Hammond brings her soulful sounds into her original and cover music. Ziggy embodies the sounds of a modern pop artist adding a touch of soul and contemporary blues inspired by the emotions of life and its many journeys.

18.01.2022 Jen Lush and Steve Lennox will be performing at Music on Flinders this coming Monday March 23rd at 12.30 -1pm Jen Lush Adelaide singer-songwriter Jen Lush brings her solo album, The Nights Insomnia, a stunning collection of contemporary Australian poetry transformed into modern folk songs and darker ballads to hammer on your heart. Since 2017 Jen and her band have performed at festivals and venues in South Australia, Victoria, NSW and Tasmania, including The Fleurieu Folk F...estival, Cygnet Folk Festival and the Canberra Writers Festival. Poems that might keep us awake in the small hours of the night, woven into melodic vocals, percussive guitars, soaring harmonies and drifting accordion. Stark, spacious and teetering on the edges of folk, alt-country and something entirely its own. Local Adelaide musician Steve Lennox has been around the traps for quite some time. He has released a number of critically acclaimed solo albums and has collaborated on many, varied projects. Steve has shared the bill with artists including Paul Kelly, Archie Roach, Tim Finn, Mark Seymour and even Meatloaf (would you believe !) He has worked with the award winning Slingsby Theatre Company. He has also toured with the award winning Americana outfit The Heggarties. His latest project sees Steve collaborating with Jen Lush on a series of songs based on the lighthouse keeping history of Steve's family, with an album recording due later this year.

Steve Charles is a Singer/Songwriter based in Semaphore and is the front man for The Steve Charles Band. Steve has two albums Hope And Season. Many of Steves original songs are based on Steves life from his youth in Papua New Guinea and Tamworth and his life as a traveling musician. Steves music combines intelligent and insightful lyrics with accessible and enjoyable music that is completed with his soaring vocals.

17.01.2022 Tomorrow Monday Feb 24th, the Lord Stompy and Captain Carrie join forces to become The Iron Dwarf Harmonica Duo at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. We are just out on the Pilgrim Church forecourt 12 Flinders Street.

16.01.2022 Rustflower Alt/Country Rock duo will be performing this coming Monday November 18th at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. 16.01.2022 Buffalo Drive Alive performed a rocking set at Music on Flinders today to a great enthusiastic record breaking crowd of music lovers. The newly reformed band performed an irresistible set of songs including harmony laced folk songs from the 60s through to foot tapping 70s rock. Led by the irrepressible Rod Boucher on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and bango, with Bodzac on drums and vocals, Grimy on twelve string acoustic guitar, electric bass and vocals, Jacko on acoustic bass, keyboard and vocals, Peter Farley on acoustic guitar, lead guitar and vocals and Georgina Nou on vocals, Buffalo Drive Alive rocked Flinders Street.

Mantracoda's unique style comes from the partnership of jake Brookes and Andrea Murray who weave their essential core of acoustic guitars,vocals and flute with numerous other instruments, to produce a truly exciting and soul infused sound with timeless lyrics that inspire. Mantracoda have recorded an EP entitled 'Soundunes' and a full album entitled 'Door to Amaze'. The beauty of Mantacoda i...s in it's inclusiveness of other nationalities, styles and influences in it's music offering their listeners something different and outside the mainstream. 14.01.2022 Thanks to the wonderful Sue Baker for performing her exquisitely beautiful original songs today at Music on Flinders in the lovely spring sunshine on Flinders Street. It was a real treat to enjoy live music in the city after the lockdown! Thanks to the ongoing support of Pilgrim Church and the incredible work of the team of volunteers, Geoff Hurst, Peter Farley, Bruce Skinner and Peter Cranwell who work faithfully on the set up, sound and pack up each Monday.

Local singer/songwriters Jen Lush and Steve Lennox come together as a charismatic duo swapping songs and bringing their influences together in evocative, darkly folk, alt country songs drenched in harmonies and storytelling. Lush and Lennox have been following their own rich musical paths and have recently collaborated on Steve’s recent album ‘In the Lighter Dark’, a song cycle based on his family’s lighthouse keeping story. Jen is currently recording her new album of songs due for release in 2021. Together think Calexico meets Simon and Garfunkel.

13.01.2022 Amidst all the chaos, fear and uncertainty of all that is unfolding at present, the audience at Music on Flinders today had the absolute pleasure of listening to the beautiful calming instrumental music performed brilliantly by Pussyfoot. Full-time busker and street musician Joseph Hannah (stage name Pussyfoot) performed some killer original tunes as well as exquisite versions of Missy Higgins 'Scar', Queens 'We are the Champions and The Cranberries 'Dreams'. Thanks Pussyfoot for your entrancing music!

11.01.2022 Next Monday February 24th the unique and wonderful Iron Dwarf Harmonica Duo will be performing at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. Cool harmonicas, guitar and harmonies make up an entertaining musical performance with the one and only Lord Stompy on lead vocals and guitar. Lord Stompy is a musical troubadour well known on the streets and stages of Adelaide. With his colourful attire and equally colourful character. Lord Stompy has etched his own unique place in the Adelaide music scene. Lord Stompy is accompanied by talented harmonica player Captain Carrie.

11.01.2022 The wonderful warm hearted global troubadour Forte came to the rescue today and performed his original songs with the trademark passion and authenticity that his fans in Adelaide and all through Europe have come to enjoy. Thanks Forte for stepping in at the last minute. It was fabulous!

With the irrepressible Lord Stompy on lead vocals and Captain Carrie on harmonica and back up vocals,the Iron Dwarf Harmonica Duo performed an entertaining and foot tapping set.

08.01.2022 Spring has finally sprung and offered us at Music on Flinders a bright sunny day to enjoy the wonderful music of Gene Phoa. Gene sung his heart out as he performed his intricate and personal songs about the complexities of love and relationships.

06.01.2022 This coming Monday February 17th, Isaac Thomas will be performing at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm. Adelaides Isaac Thomas creates emotive, guitar driven soul songs. Born into a musical family he began learning the guitar at age 6 with the guidance of idols Jimi Hendrix, John Frusciante and John Mayer. In 2015 he moved from Adelaide to Tennant Creek, a little town in the heart of the NT. It was here where he began backing local bands, doing session work for recording art...ists, running music workshops and coming to the realisation that music was just about the only thing he was good at. After playing a slew of shows under his own name, he was given an opportunity to record at the Winanjjikari music center Three years later his debut EP The Art of Procrastination was released and he moved back to Adelaide in the hopes to find more work and reach a larger audience. With vocals likened to Jeff Buckley is a name youd want to keep your eyes on. See more

06.01.2022 Today at Music on Flinders we were given an absolute musical treat with the performance by the awesomely talented singer/pianist/songwriter Will Metzer. Will's infectious jazz and swing overtones got the audience's feet tapping and his skill on piano and vocals just simply dazzled! A big warm hearted thanks Will for bringing your highly entertaining musical presence to Music on Flinders!

06.01.2022 There is a last minute change to today's programme. Unfortunately Casey Thomson is unable to perform and the amazing global troubadour Forte will be performing from 12.30 -1pm. Forte has played guitar for over 20 years and has performed in pubs, at parties and in weddings.Forte has toured extensively throughout Australia performing his original songs. As well as guitar and singing, Forte plays mandolin and piano. Forte brings to his music a lifetime of experiences and wonder and his powerful performances invoke a sense of authenticity and emotion. Forte is a wonderful performer with a big heart and a wonderful big voice to match!

06.01.2022 What a fabulous way to send out 2019 at Music on Flinders with the awesomely talented duo Mantracoda. Jake and Andrea from Mantracoda performed with passion and soul as their beautiful ambient sound wafted magically down Flinders Street. Thanks again to the local legends who make up the Music on Flinders team - Geoff Hurst, Peter Farley, Bruce Skinner and Peter Cranwell. Also a huge thanks to Reverand Sandy Boyce and the good folk from Pilgrim Church for supporting this unique live music programme with their encouragement and ongoing funding. 02.01.2022 It was a wild and windy day at Music on Flinders today but the mesmerizing performance of Hindmarsh Valley singer/songwriter David Rogers calmed the storm as he sang his beautiful original songs and a few classy covers. Once again it was a pleasure to host another talented musician from regional SA on the Music on Flinders stage.

Isaac's intricate and melodic guitar grooves set the background for his exquisite voice as he performed his beautiful original tunes and a couple of covers. The audience just sat and stood totally spellbound by Isaac's unique musical mastery.
