If you're an advanced student or adult musician looking to join a group, come along and see what you too could be a part of. This will be a throughly enjoyable concert. 03.01.2022 HERVEY BAY CITY MUSICIANS - DON'T STOP THE MUSIC CAMPAIGN UNUSED INSTRUMENT MUSTER! Do you have any unused instruments around your home or school that are just ...gathering dust? Imagine how amazing and powerful that instrument could be in the hands of a child that would otherwise never have had the chance to play it? In partnership with the ABC, the Salvation Army and Musica Viva, Hervey Bay City Musicians is proud to be the regional collection point for unused instruments on the Fraser Coast. All donated instruments will be triaged by student volunteers to ensure they’re in top condition. After receiving a tune-up, they’ll be shipped off to disadvantaged schools and students supported by Musica Viva and the Salvation Army’s Just Brass. Didn’t see ‘Don’t Stop the Music’ recently on the ABC? This 3-part documentary explains why it is so important for music to be included in education, and why unused instruments are so important to this campaign.
