23.01.2022 Hi everyone - A note to let you know that we're here all today and next week if you need us. The Swoppy is still very full of guitars and amps but that's good news for you if you need one! Everything is listed on the website and you can make enquiries via phone or email if you need some more information. We can take consignments of smaller items, especially effects pedals, microphones, cymbals, percussion, guitar parts and anything else that doesn't take up a guitar hook or c...rowds our amp room which is absolutely chockers. If you have any big things that you think are irrestible, please call before you bring them down to Elgin St. Stay safe out there and if a local muso you know and love has had to cancel a gig, you might consider buying one of their releases or some of their merch to help them out during this time.

22.01.2022 Time to record a new album? The Swoppy has lots of recording and music making tools from mics and mic pres to audio interfaces and multi-track recorders. It's all listed on our website. We also stock a variety of cables, adapters and accessories to get you laying down some new tracks. If you can't come down to the shop, we can answer enquiries via phone or email and post it out to you. We have been sending gear all over Australia for a long time now with many happy customers outside of Melbourne!

We'd like to encourage you to support your local music community by purchasing something from their Bandcamp page if they have one. If you are an artist with a Bandcamp page you can post your profile below and we'll Follow you via our fan account. ... If you don't already have a fan account on Bandcamp, today might be the day to sign up and start using it. You can follow your favourite independent artists and buy direct from them! It's a tough time for everyone, especially those who rely on performing to make a all or part of their living. For now the Swoppy is still open as usual but we are taking the necessary precautions to protect everyone at the store. If you would rather not visit the store at this time, you can support the business by making purchases via email and over the phone. We ship worldwide and have very many happy customers all over the globe. Together we can make it through this period. Bryan has been operating the Swop Shop since 1987, providing a valuable service to the music community. It's now more than ever that we need to show compassion and care for our fellow musicians, the industry that supports the music and the stores that have been there supplying us with the tools we need to create.
