24.01.2022 Noel Mengel reivew: The Lives of Others. By You Am I Nothing about The Lives of Others sounds remote. It feels like they are all together in a room, inspired, excited. In all those hundreds of thousands of words written about You Am I, it could be these that haven’t been said often enough. Tim Rogers is one of the best songwriting lyricists this country has produced."... https://musictrust.com.au//the-lives-of-others-by-you-am-i/

17.01.2022 Women of Note: A Century of Australian Composers. Volume 3 reviewed by Mandy Stefanakis Treat yourself to a feast of music on this superbly heterogeneous album, representing the voices of some of the best of Australia’s contemporary composers. This fine digital album concentrates on contemporary Australian composers, with Peggy Glanville-Hicks the only representative no longer gracing the planet." https://musictrust.com.au//women-of-note-a-century-of-aus/
15.01.2022 Strauss's: Enoch Arden (1897) Op. 38 - a videod performance. "Enoch Arden has been the subject of intermittent attention in the second half of the twentieth century. It has been transcribed for instrumental forces and has also been championed by such advocates of the outer reaches of the repertoire as Glenn Gould and Marc-André Hamelin." https://musictrust.com.au/l/strauss-enoch-arden-1897-op-38/

15.01.2022 This marvellous program is based west of Parramatta and lends 60 kids, almost all of them children of immigrants, orchestral instruments, gives them lessons and forms them into two orchestras. They attend two afternoons a week. All of this is FREE, and is paid for from donations of money and instruments. I support it big time, and hope you will, too. You can get a direct sense of the program by attending this online event. Do give your support. - Richard Letts
