25.01.2022 Running a bit late this year but ENROLMENTS FOR TERM 1 open TONIGHT!! All of our returning families have been emailed confirmations and invoices and remaining vacancies go live on our website at 8pm this evening. www.musicwithmonica.com We do have limited vacancies in Coomera Springs and Helensvale, however all Robina programs are booked out with returning families. Thank you for your patience as I attended to both the website crashing just prior to Christmas (!!) and a trip ...to Melbourne to see my dear nan (who COVID has kept us separated from since May). Tomorrow, I go on a family holiday and will respond to enquiries on my return from 12th January, 2021.

23.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE: Our planned return to the Paediatric Centre Gold Coast on Monday 11th January, 2021 has been impacted by the 3-day lockdown imposed on the following council areas: Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and the Redlands council. If you have visited any of these areas since 2nd January 2021, you cannot attend your Music Therapy appointment on Monday 11th January 2021, in person. ... We will contact each family booked in with our Music Therapy team to ensure you are aware of this requirement to stay at home. This equally applies to our staff, who confirm they have not been in the Greater Brisbane Area since 2nd January 2021. We will attempt to reschedule any sessions impacted by this/consider telehealth sessions where deemed appropriate. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience.

22.01.2022 BIG NEWS! Eliza Fish - Registered Music Therapist is joining our team at the Paediatric Centre Gold Coast. Brooke and I can't wait to be three, to support and learn from each other - exciting times ahead. Eliza will be available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11th August, 2020 for individual and small group Music Therapy sessions for children and adolescents with special needs - all sessions covered by the NDIS. Bookings are open now! We are currently going through our waiting list, so if you are on it, you will hear from us very soon.

21.01.2022 What a massive weekend! We have moved back downstairs into our beautiful, brand new clinic rooms at the Paediatric Centre Gold Coast. Not one, but two!! Brooke, Eliza and I can't wait to see many of you this week. Seems a very fitting milestone to help celebrate 20 years of being a Registered Music Therapist.

15.01.2022 A little email has just gone out to all families who subscribe to our newsletter explaining some changes for term 1, one of which being a delayed start to the term, in line with our schools, to 7th Feb, 2022. We do have vacancies across all our groups as we farewelled quite a few little ones who are going off to big school soon. 13.01.2022 Our new rooms are coming together at the Paediatric Centre Gold Coast. Some of the children we see for Music Therapy experience Sensory Processing Disorder. This means that, in order for them to reach higher levels of brain function, like communicating, they sometimes need lots of input, whether it be visual, tactile, auditory, vestibular, proprioceptive . . . and the list goes on. When we experience this input with supporting live music, the brain actually benefits more tha...n without the music. 09.01.2022 Been a little quiet on the socials but only because we have been 'run off our feet' busy. I did have to stop and share this though. Yes, you can see a gorgeous chocolate labrador in our clinic rooms, his name is Pauli and he is an Assistance Dog (SmartPup) for Miss S. His job is to keep her safe and regulated. Pauli had never seen or heard many of the things he did yesterday . . . guitar, chimes, piano . . . yet he was so calm and unphased. 06.01.2022 The year is coming to an end but, tomorrow, I hope you can celebrate with your family and friends (I get to host this year - just a bit excited!). Thank you for a wonderful year, despite all the challenges. 2021 enrolments for our community-based early childhood programs will open in early January (a bit later than usual but our website needed some unexpected repair). 01.01.2022 This long weekend (in fact, since Thursday), @The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy has been training our whole team of Registered Music Therapists, via Zoom, all the way from Canada. We also welcomed our SLP colleague from @Therapy Matters and Anne, another RMT from south Brissy, along with my student (studying her Masters of Music Therapy) to join us. It has been a very intense 4 days (not over yet) but at the end of this process, all the RMTs in the room will be Neurologic Music Therapists and Stimulation Specialists. We will share more about what this means in days to come but we are all getting out our "inner-nerd" and are very excited!
