22.01.2022 More joy for Musk Creek Farm graduates this week as BETTER KICK bolts in to win the Muraca Electrical Maiden Plate (1170 m) at Wangaratta for trainer Steve Richards. The three-year-old gelding was originally passed in for $50,000 at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in 2019 but would be acquired privately by Richards, who just had that ‘gut feeling’ about him. And slowly, he is being proven right. Better Kick a son of Arrowfield Stud’s Scissor Kick used his reaching stride... to draw right away by 2 3/4 lengths. He takes his record to 1 win and 1 second from 4 starts. This success comes two days after Better Kick’s half-sister Stratessa another sales graduate of ours rallied strongly to win well for the Henry Dwyer stable. 02.01.2022 We have Musk Creek Farm horses represented right across New South Wales today. But first, a quick moment to reflect on yet another winner from our graduates. This time the honours are with BROCKY, who scored in the Slipway Hotel Benchmark 66 Handicap (1410 m) at Ballina yesterday. A now three-time winner; sold for $140,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in 2018. Congratulations to Archer Park Racing and the team at Edmonds Racing! We have waited for AEECEE VIN...CO (pictured) to run again but been held back due to inclement weather. He finally gets his chance today in the Age Matters Benchmark 64 Handicap (1000 m) at Kembla Grange for trainer Mark Newnham. Aeecee Vinco was third against the promising Belluci Babe last start that filly has since gone on to better things at Randwick. Aeecee Vinco is fortunate to have excellent gate speed, which will hold him in good stead here.
