22.01.2022 This Australian terrorist's name will be forgotten but the anti-Muslim hate ideology that killed so many innocent New Zealanders is very much alive and loud on the internet. Radicalised sympathisers publicly commenting in support of the terrorist on social media need to be treated seriously. Such hatred needs to be tackled by law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Australia to prevent such a terrorist attacking Australians.

15.01.2022 When times are tough, many will experience legal issues and not know who can help. Instead of asking a friend, you can ask the Muslim Legal Network by emailing [email protected]. Did you know you could email LRS confidentially to check if free legal help is available for any legal issues? LRS can also connect you to *vetted lawyers* who have agreed to treat their clients well and are knowledgeable in the areas of law that you need.... LRS is a service that is run and managed by volunteers outside their work and family commitments. So our caseload capacity is limited. We need you to tell us whether you would find a fully staffed, highly responsive and well-funded legal referral service to be valuable to the Muslim community or if we should close it down and focus MLN efforts on our other objectives. 5 minutes of your time could help us ensure: 1. Interpreters are available in any language. 2. Sufficient staffing to accompany you at dispute resolution meetings. 3. Immediate responses to incoming calls and enquiries with relevant legal information and referrals. Please complete this survey and ask your community members to do the same: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7LW9DSQ #muslimlegalnetwork #muslimlegal #mln #legalreferralservice #legalreferral #law
14.01.2022 This is real. It was preceded by the language of hate which created the enabling environment for the violence which followed. He intended to instil fear into those he described as invaders, including the Muslim population or more generally non-European immigrants. Tarrant also expressed regret for not taking more lives and had planned to burn the mosques down.... The shooter spent years purchasing high-powered firearms, researched mosque layouts by flying a drone over his primary target, and timed his March 15 attacks to maximise casualties, the prosecutor said.

02.01.2022 If youre under JobKeeper, your boss can require you to change duties using a JobKeeper enabling direction, but there are rules. So, unless you normally do domestic work for your boss, you shouldnt be cleaning their house. Your boss can direct you to change duties, but the new duties must be: safe, including considering the nature and spread of coronavirus within the scope of your skills and ability and you must hold any licenses or qualifications required to do the jo...b, and reasonably within the scope of your employers business operations. There are other rules, too. So, for example, your boss also needs to discuss the changes with you and give you at least three days written notice before giving you the direction, unless you agree to less. Also, your pay cant be reduced for doing different duties. If the duties attract a higher base rate, you need to be paid at that higher rate.
