20.01.2022 We welcome the announcement from the government for continued stimulus; The announcement today noted the allocation of $822 million for a third extension to the Business Support Fund. Minister Pakula noted that the government was working to ensure these funds would get allocated as quickly as possible via the Business Victoria website. These grants will be made available to 78,000 businesses with payrolls up to $10 million. Allocations will be based on the following ... 1. Companies with a payroll of less than $650,000 will be eligible to receive a $10,000 grant; 2. For companies with payroll between $650,000 and $3 million, a grant of $15,000 will be made available; and 3. Those companies with payroll between $3 million and $10 million will be eligible for a grant of $20,000 - The government will also waive liquor licence fees for 2021 Sole traders; It was good to hear Minister Pakula today indicate that a package for sole traders is being developed and we expect to hear more on that this week.
