25.01.2022 Happy new year everyone! What a crazy year we've all had, thank you to everyone that supported turf farmers this year and for supporting Musturf. Let's all make 2021 a great one!

23.01.2022 Last week we had the opportunity to install TifTuf at the fleet stairs in the Royal Botanic Gardens. The grassed areas suffered extreme stress from events and need to be replaced. One of the challenges we faced was dealing with wet weather, muddy grounds and getting all the area prepared with heavy machinery. None the less we are glad to say the fleet stairs are all turfed ready for the public to enjoy for another year!

22.01.2022 This week we installed Ezi Mat subsurface irrigation under our Sir Grange Zoysia display plot Keep an eye out next year we will have our display ready for the public to come along, kick the shoes off and experience all the turf varieties on offer including Sir Grange, TifTuf, Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo & more!

21.01.2022 You are looking at our recent kangaroo grass installation at Fleet Stairs in the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. We used a biodegradable fine woven jute mat as a weed mat which will keep the embankment looking presentable until future installations. Looking nice and neat . . . .... . #landscaping #kangaroo #revegetation #conservation #nativegrass #reveg #revegproject #revegetationprojec #gardening #garden #flowers #plants #nature #gardenlife #sydneyharbour #commerciallandscaping #tiftuf

18.01.2022 Merry Christmas all! Musturf wishes you an awesome day and safe travels.

16.01.2022 We supplied TifTuf to a client in Crookwell earlier this year and since then has endured heavy frosts of temperatures below -8c ! Now look at it... TifTuf really is tough!

12.01.2022 Sir Grange Zoysia vs TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda what’s different between them? Well, Sir Grange looks similar to TifTuf but requires less sun while TifTuf requires more sun. TifTuf is highly durable and Sir Grange is not far behind. TifTuf is the most drought tolerant grass in the world, a benchmark for drought tolerance in America and holds a Smart Watermark in Australia. Sir Grange requires less maintenance because it grows slowly, only needing to be mown around 8 times a year w...hile TifTuf requires regular mowing. If you accidentally scalp Sir Grange or dig into it, expect a lengthy repair period, however, TifTuf will rapidly repair. Both grass varieties require regular watering morning and night over the establishment period but Sir Grange is a little more thirsty than TifTuf so be sure to keep water up to it. Both grass varieties look absolutely amazing and will transform your backyard/front yard into a lush green oasis with the proper maintenance. 11.01.2022 Today we finished a project at a private school primarily using Eureka kikuyu in the sunny areas and Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo in the shady areas due to it's shade resistance. This will create an evergreen effect through the year.

05.01.2022 Grass clippings aren't bad in fact they hold nutrients such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphorous! Leaving a light layer of clippings is fine as it adds to the organic layer. As mentioned by Lawn Solutions Lawn clippings are estimated to be made up of 85-95 percent water and add to the organic layer below your lawn. If you’ve left your mowing a little too long make sure not to leave large amounts of clippings because it can cause problems.

03.01.2022 Not too long ago we supplied Xtragrass to a local soccer field in Liverpool. The goal area gets thrashed on a day-to-day basis, causing the area to erode into a sandy unstable mess. After installing Xtragrass it has significantly rectified the area due to its strong woven base, ability to reduce divoting and durable wear surface. Not to mention it's grown with the durable TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda . If you know of a high wear area Xtragrass could be useful let us know! HG Turf Group

01.01.2022 Planning your next lawn? There's more choice out there than you thought. Take this Sir Grange Zoysia for example, it's got exceptional colour, a lush dense feel and has a tendency to turn heads on the street. Sir Grange only needs to be mown 6-10 times per year perfect for the busy professional. Sufficient watering is essential to keep it looking like the Sir Grange in the picture.
