24.01.2022 What a sea-zure! A major joint operation involving our officers, Chinese law enforcement and Australian Border Force has resulted in the arrests of eight people... and the seizure of around 90L of liquid meth. The meth was found hidden in barrels on board a small fishing boat at Palm Beach, NSW, and is worth an estimated $54 million. As part of the investigation, we also detained a second boat the mother ship off the coast of Queensland, which was allegedly linked to the importation. 24.01.2022 In a farewell flight, our pilots from Number 6 Squadron took to the skies today, 23 November 2016 for the last time flying the F/A-18F Super Hornets before the ...squadron prepares for transition to the EA-18G Growler in 2017. If you missed the flight dont worry, our F/A-18F Super Hornets have not been retired, they have just moved to Number 1 Squadron.

14.01.2022 Over the weekend, our #AFPFamily banded together to help Make-A-Wish Australia grant the wish of a very special boy, Declan. Declan is 12-years-old and has leu...kaemia. His wish? To blow stuff up! Declan is a real boys boy, and after spending so much time in hospital battling his illness he wanted to do something risky and out of his comfort zone. We added a few extra trimmings for him as well to make sure it was a weekend he never forgets, including a meet and greet with Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the Governor General Peter Cosgrove.

05.01.2022 Lovingly restored to her former glory! After many years of hard work, the refurbished F-111 (A8-142) has joined former flying greats, a Canberra bomber, a Mete...or, a Sabre and a Mirage as the centrepiece at the front gate of RAAF Base Wagga. To mark this event, the Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Leo Davies, will officially unveil the refurbished F-111 aircraft. Air Marshal Davies completed 56 sorties in this aircraft with a total flying time of 120 hours. Its all happening 3:30 - 4:40pm, Wednesday 23 November.
