15.01.2022 The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee met on Sunday 22 November, 2020 and decided to officially cancel the 2021 Annual Ball. The decision was not made lightly, but ...the committee felt that there was no guarantee the ball, in its usual form, would be able to go ahead. We have invited Instructors from NSW to conduct concurrent fund-raising socials on or near Saturday 10 April, 2021 as an alternative event to the ball. We have received positive responses to this invitation. All monies raised at these events will be in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney. We invited Maddison Glover to workshop a dance prior to the commencement of the 2021 ball and she is still happy to choreograph a dance especially for our fundraising activities. Further details regarding this will be acknowledged in the new year. Ronald McDonald House Charities will organise a Fund Raising Event page on their website where these events will be advertised. Our NSW Line Dance Ball Facebook page and our website will also advertise these events. We would love you to join us, so that together we can continue to raise much needed funds from the Line Dancing Community for Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney in 2021. Let’s Line Dance for Sick Kids Take Care and Stay Safe Regards Robert Fletcher Chairperson NSW Line Dance Ball Committee

08.01.2022 (POSTED FROM Natalie Smith) - Mum passed away peacefully, on Saturday morning, following a brave battle with Cancer. The past few months have been extremely di...fficult as Mum was forced into isolation from all her family & friends. The chemotherapy and coronavirus restrictions made visiting Mum impossible...a time when she needed you all the most. Though we were truly saddened by this, Mum still managed to receive all the beautiful messages of love & support. We thank you for respecting Mum’s health requirements and keeping your distance. We cannot, and will not, deny people the chance to pay their respects to our beautiful Mum following her death. The funeral restrictions have been lifted so a service will now go ahead, next week. ALL WELCOME Tuesday June 23rd at 10am St Alban’s Anglican Church, Muswellbrook See more

07.01.2022 As the restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic are being relaxed, we wish everyone a safe return to your classes and socials. Instructors and students... alike will be excited to be returning to some kind of normal. The NSW Line Dance Ball Committee met last weekend to wrap up the unfortunate cancellation of this years Ball and to commence the planning and organising for next years event. The date to put in your diaries for next years Ball is Saturday 10th April, 2021. As part of the wrapping up of this years Ball, the drawing of the Raffle was discussed. In line with recommendations from the Department of Fair Trading, no further tickets were sold after Saturday 18th April, 2020. In order to draw the raffle with the utmost transparency, we have been waiting until restrictions ease, and social events are able to be held, that will enable us to conduct the official raffle draw. When we are able to finalise an appropriate place, date and time we will inform you of that information. Following the cancellation of the 2020 Ball, all ticket sales were refunded. However, with the money from the sale of raffle tickets, the money raised through fund raising events held in the build up to the Ball and numerous personal donations, we are pleased to announce that we are still able to make a $10,000 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney this year. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Maddison Glover who held an online workshop on Saturday April 18, 2020 of her dance, Southern Dreams, which she had choreographed for this years Ball. Thank you for your continued support and if there is anything we can help you with regarding the NSW Line Dance Ball please don't hesitate to contact us via our email address;- [email protected] Robert Fletcher Chairman
