22.01.2022 It's been 2 years since a brew was bottled. Reno's, holidays & life gets in the way. ....so do hangovers This winter I'll get another batch ready...

22.01.2022 So I'm told by our chief brewer that we're getting ready for another batch this year..... Arrrr.... He'll be walkin the plank

21.01.2022 Hobart's Captain Blighs began brewing Colonial Ales last year, and several of their beers are now available in bottles, the Hobart IPA (or HIPA) and the Six Gui...nea Pale. Fittingly this brew was photographed in Strahan, on the bow of the remains of the Union Steam lighter, with the sunken remains of the steamer Glenturk in the background. Look out for their beers in bottleshops and on tap in Tasmania. Cheers See more

21.01.2022 Bottling a Ginger Beer tonight.

21.01.2022 After sampling a couple of Captain Blighs Ginger Beers on Friday I think producing another batch of Ginga Ninja is on the cards. But I think it needs a wheat base to give it some extra body and complexity. Best I pick Steve's brain on this one...

20.01.2022 Back on the bottler. Powered by Splendour, on TripleJ and Devils Corner...

20.01.2022 This batch hardly needs bottle conditioning more than getting some fizz into it. The right yeast, brewed out nice and slow from the best juice available from Mark and Christine Duggans Orchards.

14.01.2022 Get on up to the Captain Blighs Brewery for a fine Ale or seven...

12.01.2022 Our Cider matches perfectly with the Pulled Pork and Southern Fried Chicken Wings from Van Demons Cafe de Wheels, And they pretty much came to our doors

07.01.2022 At Captain Bligh's we understand if you hate scissors, can openers, firing guns, guitars, credit card swipes, spiral notebooks, ink all over your hands or know... why the attached picture is hell. So we are celebrating International Left Handers day on Friday 14th of August, from 5pm till 10pm. This is our only bar opening for August and Righties are always welcome

04.01.2022 New brew day. Celebrating Isolation Beer Festival - Tasmania Fresh juice from Duggan's at Cradoc, and some Belgian ale yeast for a bit of an experiment with flavours, thanks to Pete at Tasmanian Home Brewing Supplies... Ready to drink once isolation is over. #stayathome everyone, stay safe. #drinklocal
