24.01.2022 The expansion of Mutawintji State Conservation Area in western NSW saw the biggest gathering of traditional owners, or 'Wimpatja', on Nuntherungie Station since... the area was colonised. One hundred and twenty five hectares of culturally and ecolocially siginificant land is now under the protection of the State Government and traditional owners. This is an amalgamation of a lot of hard work and decades of struggle from our old people. Struggle and resistance and empowerment.
