25.01.2022 Click and Collect- Final weekend! While we are able to reopen this weekend in line with the easing of restrictions, our click and collect system was already activated and we have made the decision to keep the appointments this Saturday at our Avondale Heights session. Both the Essendon and Avondale Heights branch will be closed to members who DO NOT have a click and collect appointment. ... We will return to normal operating hours next Tuesday the 15th June. Thank you for all of you support as we have once again navigated and changed our directions quickly during this trying time for us all. As always all toys that are currently on loan have been extended and no fines will be applied.

25.01.2022 Friday Flashback MV Toy Library edition!! This week we thought we would feature some awesome flashback toys from our very own collection ... Do these look familiar to you? The Fisher Price Chatter Phone has been a popular children’s toy since the 1960s. The original version was made of wood, with a plastic receiver and cord. In 2000, Fisher-Price changed the rotary dial for a push-button version with lights in an effort to modernize the toy, but consumers complained and the rotary version returned to the market the following year. The Chatter Telephone was designed by Ernest Thornell whose daughter Tina would drag around a metal phone while playing. This gave him the idea of adding wheels, which with a bent axle permitted the movement of eyes. From its introduction through the 1970s, the Chatter Telephone was Fisher-Price's bestselling product and enjoys continuing popularity today!

07.01.2022 Tuesday Toy Review Vtech Pull-along Puppy! The Vtech Pull Along Puppy Pal is a happy and cute little Dalmatian puppy. Babies can take the Puppy Pal for walks to hear puppy sounds and melodies and also press the buttons on the puppy to hear fun phrases and songs. The Puppy's legs move when pulled along and his ears and tail can be spun.... The Puppy Pal helps develop motor skills and teaches cause & effect. An oldie but such a goodie! and available in our MVTL catalogue!

Even if it tiring work During the month of June we are showcasing the fabulous range of puzzles we have in our libraries and giving you the chance to take home a bonus puzzle on top of your 4 or 8 toy membership. 04.01.2022 Volunteers Needed 15th May Hard Rubbish We have finally rescheduled our Hard Rubbish collection of old and broken toys at our Avondale Heights branch.... We are seeking support from members this Saturday 15th to help move everything we are getting rid of to the collection point at the front of the library. If you are available to help on Saturday at 11.30am, please comment below. Your support will be contributed to your library volunteer hours.
