23.01.2022 Holidays are almost here.

23.01.2022 Ouch, Covid is making another run on the beaches, so we are cancelling all group rides, races and events this weekend. Stay at home is the recommendation from NSW health. For those riding it's back to riding in 1's or 2's. No group rides please. No Coast and Toast, no Neos, no Saturday Social, no CX or MTB racing, no junior MTB ride.

22.01.2022 When you are hoping they don’t spot you hiding in second wheel. Full gallery of photos from our Mentor1 Race Day Here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/

21.01.2022 Tonight's at Easts Cycling Club Trophy Race has been postponed to next week due to the weather. Lets hope that our CX Christmas edition goes ahead on Saturday. For the roadies, christmas puddings up for grabs at Randwick Cycling Club on Saturday and Sunday riders have the Northern Sydney Cycling Club Beaumont Road race.

20.01.2022 Running our races involves traffic marshalls, sign on desks, finish line and car pilots. No easy feat to run an event now almost twice a month with our road races and TT's happening at West Head. Easy race requires 15-16 people on the morning of the race. Volunteers can sign up via https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0e48aba72ca1fc1-mwcc

08.01.2022 If Richie wants to win the the Tour, he can't just sit in, he has to attack. I don't understand what his tactics are, or who is advising him, but clearly the best thing for him to do is attack. A local rider has shown remarkable insight into World Tour racing while sitting on their couch. They offered up such pearls of wisdom as 'when the other riders are on their limit, that is the time to attack' and 'just go from the bottom, don't wait until the final corner.' Of course wh...en asked how they plan on winning their grade at the MWCC Mentor1 West Head Road race, their plan was to sit in and hide for as long as possible. 'Let others do the work, it would be foolish to attack too early on that course, it would just drain your legs. So I plan on hiding and then going out the back with a few kilometres to go.' Tomorrow promises to be a huge morning of racing at West Head, with 250 riders across the various grades on the start line.

08.01.2022 With 250 starters on the line, it was raced under perfect Spring conditions.

03.01.2022 The Wall once again provided a memorable edition that ensured that it maintained its fearsome reputation that comes with five laps of West Head and the reputation as Sydney’s Cycling Monument. The early leaders were 4 guys in the limit bunch who had a dig on the second lap but they never stood a chance against the strong ladies in group 7, they were caught at the end of lap 3. The experienced handicap riders of Dayna Davidson of Southern Cross Cycle Club and Hattie Lowden of ...Continue reading
