10.01.2022 What an interesting adventure this piece has been. It started in May when I ask my daughter was there something special she would like me to paint as she was heading off with the Navy for a few months. I wanted to do something to feel close to her while we were apart and that I could help her feel close to me. I would send her updates regularly so hopefully she wouldn't feel so far away either. 06.01.2022 Christmas has been and gone so I can share a couple of works that have been surprises. The first, a wedding bouquet for Fay to give her daughter. When Fay got together her photos after our interview I could not let the two images around the bouquet go. Thankfully Fay let me loose to create what I had in my heart. Thank you for trusting me Fay. 'Harlow' on the other hand felt like he was under my brush as I worked my way through this challenging 5 portrait piece. What an absol...ute joy. After a lengthy interview with Harlow's mum Meg it was decided to include these particular images. Continual discussion with Meg as I worked allowed for a truly meaningful background. Thanks for being so brave Meg. In a year of chaos in so many ways.....working on my art for amazing people has been ...brilliantly fabulous....Thank you :) See more

01.01.2022 One of the most powerful tools in my painting kit is my colour chart. You can see here how different these two charts are from one another. I can not stress the importance of making yourself a colour chart of every set you have enough. I have one for every set of paints, pencils and pastels

01.01.2022 This is SO GOOD ..I had to share it with you. What a wonderful gift for today. It is Tooooo true...one of the bests days of my life, was when my eldest daughter realised the sky was blue. Her exuberant excitement of such a wonder has never left me.
