19.01.2022 So to kick off the new year we would love to help you all out with some helpful hints within your laundry! Each week we will post a helpful hint to help with your laundry needs :) Helpful hint 1 - BLOOD; its really a lot easier to get out then you think!!! NEVER EVER soak blood in hot water, like many stains hot water will set the blood in to the fabric, soak the blood stain in COLD water if the stain is older or the water hasnt gotten it all out, cloudy ammonia which can ...be brought from Bunnings etc helps to remove blood stains, simply spray or dab on and leave, some gentle scrubbing or reapplication may be needed but these two handy tricks should get blood out of just about anything! Note: be careful when using cloudy ammonia on coloured products as it may cause some discolouring Please share and like our page for more helpful hints each week!!!

19.01.2022 We understand there is a bit of confusion now about how people are to get their clothes and bedding cleaned from now on as Geraldton Laundry and Drycleaning has now shut down. Dry cleaning is a process of using a chemical solvent other than water to clean delicate linen and textiles (this includes suits, jackets etc). We have owned a dry cleaning machine in the past but have found it unfeasible with the upkeep of chemical and the machine being extremely difficult and costly ...in the Midwest region. To repair, service, dispose and buy chemical it all had to come from Perth, which including labour fees with travel and freight on top of this was an extremely expensive production. This does not mean you are stuck! Before thinking you are doomed, check your items of clothing for the instruction tag, some tags will say do not dry clean, some will say dry clean only. Anything that says do not dry clean we are able to do! (Which is a lot more than you think) items such as wedding dresses, evening dresses, some jackets, some pants, bedding etc which you may generally take to the dry cleaners to be cleaned would not actually be cleaned in a dry cleaning machine but in other commercial washing machines or by hand. Some may say dry cleaning but also say it can be hand washed, which means it needs to be very gently hand washed, or could be dry cleaned, we are able to help. Anything that does say dry clean only we will not be able to fully clean, but if you have a suit that you need to wear on the weekend that might only need a freshen up we may be able to help you with! 17.01.2022 We know how crazy life can be so we understand how sometimes accidents happen! But this weeks helpful hint is how to get ink and sticky stains can be to get out of material! But did you know your life saver for this will be eucalyptus oil!!!!! Best results come when caught early but it can still help lift old or set stains, simply apply the oil to the area and leave, reapply if needed. Please be careful with linens and colours this is used on as it may cause discolouring or damage, but use this helpful hint next time you get pen on that favourite shirt or gum on those pants!!! I know there is a massive belief in Geraldton that you have to go to Perth to get your wedding dress cleaned! Well myth busted! We have been doing wedding dresses for years! 03.01.2022 Friday marks a sad day for the Geraldton community with the shutting down of Geraldton Laundry and Drycleaning, we have been friends and have used the knowledge of John and his team to keep us going for the last 5 years. It will be extremely sad to see them go but are wishing John and his team the very best for the future and what it will bring for them.
