04.01.2022 Meet our ambassador Jennifer! Jennifer is our life long ambassador in recognition of her long standing commitment to the Multicultural Women’s Sewing group which she joined in 2005. Jennifer says there are so many wonderful stories and memories that these women bring to her life. When it first started, the group was formed to teach Somali women how to sew and it has now welcomed over 250 women from over 45 cultures during that time. Jennifer is passionate about fighting... the impacts and causes of social isolation and found that the sewing group is a wonderful way of building connection and community.
