24.01.2022 PWC RULE ANNOUNCED Following extensive public consultation Maritime Safety Victoria (MSV) is introducing a new rule regulating the operation of personal wate...rcraft (PWCs). The rule will come into effect on Monday 16 December 2019, and requires riders of PWCs (such as jet skis) to navigate 5-knot speed restriction zones on Port Phillip Bay (extending from the waters edge out to either 200m or 500mseaward) in the most direct course possible to, or from, the shore or boat ramp.
