11.01.2022 As today which is nearly over, is the first day of this page, the letter for today Monday AND tomorrow, Tuesday will be: A Just to remind you:... Every day will have another letter of the alphabet assigned to it. The poem a person chooses to write, needs to be about something starting with that days letter. A further challenge is that the topic needs to either be something less tangible that one cannot touch or see e.g. boredom (ahem) or else some something physical that can be seen but both need to have been experienced or seen on the day in question, either at home or when out. As a result, poems dealing with things that are generally considered not to exist, are not permitted. So for example I could not write about mermaids, dragons (unless bearded) or my cooking skills.

09.01.2022 Well to start things off here is my offering of the first day. By reading a variety of poems of varying quality you will hopefully see they do not need to be sophisticated or even moderately good. What matters is that you gain confidence, take risks and play with words. Jackie xxx Day 1 A for Ants... I like these teeny critters black, So focussed in their ways. They journey forth, then journey back, Thats how they spend their days. They too are mini tradies, As many do construction, Yes most of you have seen their work, Anthills need no introduction. I wish that I could speak with them, And understand their thoughts, Try as I might, both day and night, My efforts come to nought. Their concentration when at work, Well known throughout the ages, Is even recommended by, The great Talmudic sages. Across my path they come and go, Yes, marching one by one.
