25.01.2022 It seems counter-intuitive at first, but it does make sense.

24.01.2022 Today is the first day of school and I was just telling hubby that so many parents are going to shed a tear or two, especially those with not so little bubs going to school for the first time. Indeed, the days (and nights) are long, but the years are short. +++ www.mysensitivebaby.com | caring for your baby’s sensitive skin naturally

23.01.2022 With a little planning, you could more than double your 2018 annual leave if you play your days off right!

15.01.2022 Have you been told that breastfeeding your baby to sleep is a bad idea?

14.01.2022 Mine would be green! Or pink...or blue?! How about you?

13.01.2022 Reposting this heartwarming tribute to mums. You each have your own parenting style depending on your unique circumstance and what you believe is best for your bub. To the mum who's breastfeeding: Way to go! It really is an amazing gift to give your baby, for any amount of time that you can manage! You're a good mum. To the mum who's formula feeding: Isn't science amazing? To think there was a time when a baby with a mother who couldn't produce enough would suffer, but now?... Better living through chemistry! You're a good mum. To the cloth diapering mum: Fluffy bums are the cutest, and so friendly on the bank account. You're a good mum. To the disposable diapering mum: Damn those things hold a lot, and it's excellent to not worry about leakage and laundry! You're a good mum. To the mum who stays home: I can imagine it isn't easy doing what you do, but to spend those precious years with your babies must be amazing. You're a good mum. To the mum who works: It's wonderful that you're sticking to your career, you're a positive role model for your children in so many ways, it's fantastic. You're a good mum. To the mum who had to feed her kids from the drive thru all week because you're too worn out to cook or go grocery shopping: You're feeding your kids, and hey, I bet they aren't complaining! Sometimes sanity can indeed be found in a red box with a big yellow M on it. You're a good mum. To the mum who gave her kids a home-cooked breakfast lunch and dinner for the past week: Excellent! Good nutrition is important, and they're learning to enjoy healthy foods at an early age, a boon for the rest of their lives. You're a good mum. To the mum with the kids who are sitting quietly and using their manners in the fancy restaurant: Kudos, it takes a lot to maintain order with children in a place where they can't run around. You're a good mum. To the mum with the toddler having a meltdown in the cereal aisle: they always seem to pick the most embarrassing places to lose their minds don't they? We've all been through it. You're a good mum. To the mums who judge other mums for ANY of the above? Glass houses, friend. Glass houses. +++ Photo credit: Shirin Town www.mysensitivebaby.com | caring for your baby’s sensitive skin naturally

10.01.2022 These are raw pics from my iPhone. I’m sharing it here because I’m part of a few baby eczema support groups and I really feel for the frustrated mums asking for help when their bub has a flare up. My son has had eczema patches since he was a newborn, and was prescribed with a steroid cream. However, after reading up on the side effects I decided that I’d use it as a last resort, and was determined to find a healthier, more natural and nourishing alternative. Enter Melvory ...Skincare. Since trying out their range almost a year ago, I am never without a pot of their organic goodies (because you never know the days when you have to deal with a random flare up especially in summer and winter). In fact, I always have two - Lavender Chocolate Whipped Butter and Hemp Seed Oil Whipped Butter. They work SO WELL on my baby’s skin. You can use one or both of them - I use them interchangeably. Both are rich and luxurious to the touch, but they get easily absorbed by the skin, they smell divine, and most importantly, they’re effective in clearing up his flare-ups. Total life-savers. Just head over to www.melvory.com, and if you use the code MSBMELVORY10 at checkout, you get 10% off. You’re welcome.

09.01.2022 "I knew I loved you before I met you, I think I dreamed you into life" These lines from the 90's song by Savage Garden ring so true for mums meeting their bubs for the first time

07.01.2022 We’ve been living in Sydney for two years now and sometimes I still pinch myself because we’re literally living the dream. I still remember the days I’ve longed for and prayed for the things I have now, the most precious of all is my own family. Of course I don’t feel all warm and fuzzy while in the midst of doing day to day life, like when I have to tidy the kitchen, or prep dinner, or wipe my baby’s bum...you know, the things you do on autopilot. ... But when you hover above the nuances of daily living to see the bigger picture and just be grateful, you’ll come to see the beauty of the tapestry that is life. +++ www.mysensitivebaby.com | caring for your baby’s sensitive skin naturally
