25.01.2022 We've both been away for a week or so on family beach holidays, and it has been so lovely to switch off and spend more time on the things we love. Here's a photo I took at Killen Falls near Lismore. Editing it was as much fun as the capture (which involved wading barefoot through a river and clambering over rocks, after a snake had just been sighted in the area). Being out in nature, spending time with family and creating some art in this way hits three of my top values of co...nnection, creativity and being outdoors. It's a recipe for self-care to find the activities that really give you 'bang for buck' in terms of time and energy invested. Would love to know what lights you up, too... - Emma (Audrey is still having a fab time at the beach).
25.01.2022 Is this true for you? It can be so hard sometimes, not to focus on some small criticism, even in the presence of overwhelming praise.
24.01.2022 Rainy Sunday and this might seem strange, but as I want to walk, read a book, catch up on some writing work and the house is a tip... I’ve set up a ‘circuit’ situation. - 25 mins walking/reading (recently acquired a treadmill second-hand and it’s fab) - 25 mins block of work, with ‘forest’ app to stay focused and the laptop on full screen without notifications ... - 25 mins housework X2 Also walked to a local waterfall earlier which was pretty lovely. How’s your Sunday? Emma x

22.01.2022 Hello all - we wondered if you’d be in a position to help one of our amazing clients. Her research work on the influence of COVID on women’s work is being picked up in the media, and the journalist is seeking person experiences: A journalist from The Age is looking for 2 case studies, one Syd one Melb, to talk about overwhelm, the difficult in managing the juggle, and the fact that nothing has abated post COVID-lockdowns... Can you help? Yes please comment below or send a message to our page and we’ll introduce you. Thanks! x
21.01.2022 We've never looked at it this way ...
20.01.2022 Keen to incorporate our corporate training and coaching? Book in a call and let’s talk about how we can deliver sessions for your workplace. Ask us about our tailored training:... > Lunchtime seminars on productivity and confidence > 7 Types of Busy workshops > ‘I Don’t Have Time at Work’ sessions (based on our book) > Half and full day individual coaching programs > ‘Fast Forward’ accountability coaching We love working with high-achieving, focused professionals with a lot on their plates. We help people increase productivity, reduce overwhelm and take care of their health and wellbeing. One of the most powerful programs we offer is Fast Forward Coaching. We give you unlimited accountability coaching sessions for a year, the only caveat being that you do the tasks you’ve set before booking in our next session. Some people use the program to create deadlines for themselves, by booking the session, and meeting the deadline before our call. Many of our clients use Fast Forward to keep momentum with their work. Others say it’s like having someone in your corner with oversight over your whole life at once. Send a message for more info, or find out about the Fast Forward option in the link. https://www.my15minutes.com.au/fastforward/

19.01.2022 Emma here: This is a beautiful story about my 14-year-old niece and her assistance dog, Patch. What I love most about this article is the fact that Abbey was so open about her anxiety. Such great work in de-stigmatising something so many experience. xx
18.01.2022 One of the practical goals we have this year is to get into a new habit of 'learning', just in 15-minute bouts (of course). We're doing a couple of training programs, but it's more than that. What we're actively fostering is a new daily habit of expanding our knowledge/minds. Without a sense of growth and that feeling of wonder at being exposed to something new or different, things can start to feel a bit stale. 2020 felt a bit like a 'non year' in this department - like we... were treading water and focusing on other important things - so we're actively bringing growth back. How? - watching TED talks - listening to book summaries - listening to podcasts - reading articles - listening to different music We're not doing this in an overwhelming way, but just in short grabs. We're thinking of it as, 'coffee break lessons', and keeping a little notebook to jot down mind-blowing stuff. This article explains the brain's 'novelty centre' and why learning feels so good. Can you help? What's a good place to go to find out about the world and increase your knowledge and understanding? TED is a great start. What else? We'd love your hot tips!
18.01.2022 A question we often ask our coaching clients is, 'What are you tolerating?' Sometimes it's something big, like an unhealthy relationship. Often, though, it's some minor inconvenience that irritates every time it crops up, and would take barely any organisation or effort to fix. This is the new jug, with a spout that pours water into the coffee machine without spilling it on the kitchen bench. A couple of dollars in the supermarket, but the rewards feel out of proportion in ...the best way. What minor inconvenience are you tolerating, that would be really simple to fix?
18.01.2022 Control is illusionary. All we can do is back ourselves to be able to handle whatever life throws at us.
17.01.2022 Excellent advice. We do all of these, otherwise it's impossible to achieve anything.
15.01.2022 "Tonight, on a Saturday in early winter, I came home to a cold, dark house. It was immediately apparent that there were two hungry dogs, a pile of dishes and many piles of washing. I’d divided the day between the nursing home (where our mum has lost the ability to feed herself and didn’t know us last night), hospital (where our dad is suffering a bad infection that’s threatening his sight) and online Camp Magic (grief camp, for kids who’ve lost a parent, like my 9-year-old so...n did, nearly four years ago). I sat down to catch up on the work I was intending to do all weekend. Like I’ve worked the last three weekends. Because I’m swamped. I set the alarm for 6ish. I have to take my 21-year-old to work in the morning because she wrote her car off last week" But it gets better. Read on...
15.01.2022 Where, other than in relationships, do you find love? Whatever comes to mind FIRST, prioritise in 2021.

11.01.2022 Edit: I happened to see this on my news feed and decided to share it with the group because it made me happy and I’m so glad many others feel this way as well! These success stories are beautiful
10.01.2022 Are you getting through as much as you'd like to? We’re both devotees of the notion that we surround ourselves with people who lift us higher. Whatever we’re trying to accomplish, we look for people to lift us. That means if we’re writing a book, we surround ourselves with experienced authors. When we’re working on our fitness, we go for workouts with people further down the same path. Business-wise, we join masterminds and online groups with successful colleagues. We become... aware of which people, amongst our family, friends, colleagues and even strangers can best support us in a particular endeavour, and actively spend more time with them. These are the people who we know will conspire in our success, and help us learn. When it comes to productivity, we’ve picked up a thing or two over the years. We were featured on national television and international radio talking about our book, ‘I Don’t Have Time’. Our online programs have helped hundreds of people create big changes in their lives, in small steps. One thing we’re particularly good at is identifying when someone has taken on too much, and is at risk of feeling overwhelmed. When that happens, the next step is often procrastination, which of course feeds back in to the overwhelm in a loop. Part of the work we do supporting our Fast Forward Coaching clients is helping them see what to take off their to-do lists. Knowing just how much to commit to is one of the secrets of productivity. There’s a sweet spot between being challenged in a good way, while feeling an element of control over the tasks we wish to accomplish. Having someone help you sort out what you need to do next then hold you accountable for doing it is a really effective model for rapid progress. It’s the missing link for a lot of people. That extra promise that keeps you on track. Have you seen that we’re offering a FREE 30-day Fast Forward Challenge? Places are filling up quickly, but you can apply from the link below.
08.01.2022 We love this. What's your 'go to'... ?
08.01.2022 Which is it most often for you?
07.01.2022 Working with one of our long-term 'Fast Forward' coaching clients this week, we had a chat about the importance of the language we use. She's just taken a new (big) role and has a fortnight off between jobs. There's a list of stuff she wants to get done and, as a conscientious high achiever, she wants to feel 'accomplished' at the end of her break. She's also big on self-care, and this personal and professional drive to succeed can sometimes get in the way of truly unwindin...g. So we replaced the idea of feeling 'accomplished' with feeling 'comfortable'. It allows for anything and everything she can knock herself out on the 'to do' list if it means she'll feel comfortable about starting the new job. Or it might mean focusing less on what to do and more on taking a pause away from achievement and just 'being'. She decided it will mean setting herself up for a seamless new start, by prepping meals and organising a few cupboards, and that's all about making her life easier during the incoming learning curve. 'What would make me comfortable?' is a great question, if the idea of constantly pushing yourself seems exhausting. It's not about settling for your comfort zone or always choosing the easy path, it's about feeling good about yourself. Try it: If you were to get to the end of Friday this week, feeling the maximum achievable level of comfort in your work, which different steps would you take between now and then?
07.01.2022 We really love this simple advice.
05.01.2022 Well, this is a little bit powerful...
03.01.2022 As lovely as it has been to ease into 2021 slowly, we're loving being back working with our Fast Forward Accountability Coaching clients, and assembling our families into gear for the year ahead. There's something comforting about getting back into a routine, and it also makes progress easier. The fewer decisions we have to make, because we've set a routine covering things like work, exercise, groceries + meals, regular connection with friends etc, the more space we have in o...ur minds for creativity and working towards goals that are bigger than daily or weekly ones. Routines are also where the practical progress is made it's the adequate sleep we get by having a regular bedtime (work in progress here), the fitness we achieve by moving regularly, the sense of organisation it's possible to create in order to 'set and forget' certain work or domestic arrangements... All of it adds up to less stress and the space for more of the good stuff in your life. Routines, then, aren't boring they're the bedrock for having time and energy to light up our lives.
02.01.2022 2020 best excuse yet? Alas, the world’s ills will not magically evaporate on 1 January 2021. There’s no denying this year is challenging, and continues to bring unwelcome surprises. It also provides a universally acceptable catch-all excuse. Each of us will have a unique ‘2020 story’ to tell. To an extent, we can choose how we tell that story and where to take it next. For us, the bottom fell out of our training business early on, and we scrambled to regroup and change d...irection. We were battered by various other challenging things as the year pressed on, and on, and on But no matter what happens in our lives, here’s an uncomfortable truth. If we want to get somewhere in any area that’s important to us we only have two real options: Play the cards we’re dealt OR Do nothing (or retreat) and hope things will change It’s mid-November. Adelaide (where many of our readers are based) is gripped with uncertainty. We’re certainly not here for a one-size-fits-all Pollyanna pep talk. The following invitation may be just what you need to read right now, or perhaps it won’t resonate, and either response is completely valid. Last month, we offered our community 30 days of free Fast Forward coaching. Several of the women who joined us found the unlimited 15-minute accountability sessions so valuable, they’ve decided to join us in a year’s worth of coaching. It was so rewarding, we want to do it one more time in 2020. We want to help you make progress despite difficulties, and hit 2021 with refreshed vigour, no matter what else is going on. Call it resilience or focus or tenacity or grit sometimes it’s about drawing on strength in the face of uncertainty and setback. We’re experienced in doing just that through personal tragedy and grief, and from being tested professionally. 2020 is a (pretty big) spanner in the works of course it is. But it won’t be the last spanner we deal with, and we’re of the view that life is short. It’s never perfect. And we don’t know about you, but we’ve got things we want to accomplish despite obstacles the world throws in our way. Choose flexibility. Find other ways through. Dig deep into your own inner resources and let’s get ready to make things happen. >>> Limited places available for free coaching. See more info in the link.
