20.01.2022 The 2021 Declaration of Vintage will take place on Sunday 21 February in Tanunda, in an event that has become synonymous with the grape harvest in the Barossa This time-honoured occasion is a gentle reminder of the first grapevines planted in the region by early European settlers 150 years ago. It begins with the Blessing of the Grapes in Tabor Church, honouring the church’s role in the life of those settlers. With the church filled with a beautiful harvest display, Barons... and guests give thanks for this year’s vintage. A colourful street procession follows, with the Tanunda Town Band leading the way down Murray Street to Keil Garden, followed by young grape carriers, the 2021 Young Ambassadors, Barons of Barossa, winemakers and viticulturists. A line-up of winery vintage vehicles will complete the picture. 11.00am Blessing of the Grapes at Tabor Church 11.30am Vintage Procession, led by the Tanunda Town Band 11.50am Declaration of Vintage Barossa Posted by the Barossa Visitor Centre, The Barossa Council #barossa #mybarossa #barossavc #seesouthaustralia
