22.01.2022 Can you help? Saturday 9th November we are doing a sausage sizzle at Bunnings South Nowra to raise funds. The funds raised will be used to renovate old buses into temporary accommodation for homeless people. We need volunteers who can come and help at the bbq anywhere between 9am and 4pm. If you’re available please contact us.

22.01.2022 We had a very successful BBQ at Bunnings in Nowra on Sunday, 15 Dec, 2019. Having counted the money and deducted the cost, we have made a profit of just over $1400. Thank you everyone for making this event successful especially the volunteers who traveled from Sydney and Batemans Bay and of course the locals from Emmanuel mission. The next BBQ we are planning will be on Batemans Bay which will be organized by Emma and her volunteer team. We also may contact with a local artist who is offering to run our classes to support My Best Life Australia.

21.01.2022 "Shoulder 2 Shoulder" A program designed to help those on in need, our homeless community of NSW. Shoulder 2 Shoulder is listening to them when they have no one to talk with. most people think of homeless as people living on park benches or sleeping in front of shop corners . http://www.mybestlifeaustralia.org.au//shoulder-2-shoulder/

21.01.2022 Listen to ABC radio around 4pm today to hear our boards MD being interviewed about the buses we are renovating for homeless people to live in. Sorry for the late notice but it’s happened rather quickly.

20.01.2022 Depression the silent killer! It is estimated that, One in 20 Australians are affected by depression each year. Depression can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere! Understanding and recognising the signs and symptoms of depression, and being educated, how they appear in different people, and where to go to get help are the key points in helping deal with depression. http://www.mybestlifeaustralia.org.au//depression-the-sil/

16.01.2022 Helping International Students: NSW is a large hot spot for 100's of thousands of international students. They generally work 20hours per week while studying. Covid-19 has really impacted the students hard, it is a time where they are away from their loved ones, family and friends. Now faced with another issue besides staying safe, no income and no support from Government. MBLA is helping where possible by doing food drops to local hostels and boarding homes, housing the students. MBLA, Board member and Director, Nilesh Nair and small group of volunteers was meet with warm smiles and many sad stories, as food and basic hygiene products were passed on. 'We hope to continue this every Sunday. We are small but we are here."

15.01.2022 What is Domestic Violence? On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner. Statistics indicate that domestic violence rates are higher in rural and regional NSW. Exposure to intimate partner violence (IPV) has serious health outcomes for Australian women and their children, and its prevention is a recognised national priority. Burden of disease studies measure the combined impact of living with illness and injury (non-fatal burden) and dying prematu...rely (fatal burden) on a population. This report estimated the amount of burden that could have been avoided if no adult women in Australia in 2011 had been exposed to IPV during their lifetime. This attributable burden is reported in terms of total, non-fatal and fatal burden. http://www.mybestlifeaustralia.org.au//what-is-domestic-v/ See more

13.01.2022 With waiting lists of over 200,000 for social housing it’s not a surprise there are many people sleeping in their cars, couch surfing or in other desperate situations. Our heart is to help people in crisis, to help them find shelter when there’s nowhere left to turn. https://www.smh.com.au//jody-was-rejected-from-48-properti
