25.01.2022 The power of positivity! This year has been a verrrrry interesting one! We may have learnt a whole lot, we may have made new friends, gained a new job or made some changes somewhere! For myself (Dr DJ) I have worked very very hard to produce this wonderful clinic over the last 3 months. The behind the scene work in operating a health space is intense and exhausting - but the best thing that I tend to focus in on - is that it is and has been very very rewarding. This clinic a...nd all my practice members are so special to me! Thank you to everyone for the positive vibes that you sent throughout the last year! The support has been immeasurable! Next year is gearing up to be a busy, better than every before year with new and exciting changes at the practice! Stay tuned! Sometimes dreams do come true - you just have to put your mind to it! Did you know that the power of positive thinking (lots of research is being put into this) can not only lead to a positive outlook on life - but has led to a decrease in disease? Dr. Lisa Yanek is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the John Hopkins centre has done lots and lots of study with her team of researchers and found that patients with a positive outlook were one-third less likely to have a heart attack or other cardiovascular event within five to 25 years than those with a more negative outlook! 19.01.2022 ***OMG it’s nearly Christmas AGAIN!** How did that happen? Here are some wonderful tips to keep your chin up during a very interesting time of year! #1. Keep your expectations realistic and find joys in simple pleasures and gifts! Christmas doesn't need to be expensive and super fancy like on those hallmark cards and movies! ... #2. Allow downtime! Its a busy time of year, there are queues and traffic, there are catchups and parties! Don’t overbook or overspend. Be patient and take breaks!! #3. Take time for your mental health. If things are overwhelming, breath, meditate and seek emotional support if needed. #4. Try not to over eat! Fennel tea can help bloating and indigestion - also walking to keep the Christmas kilos at bay!! Try to avoid sugary, processed foods. The 70% rule works well - eat to when you're 70% full!! #5. Watch your alcohol intake - and drink lots of water in between your cheeky Christmas cocktails! Drink fennel tea to aid bloating and indigestion. Drink chrysanthemum tea to gently sooth the liver. #6. Have fun, remember all things in moderation, including moderation!!! Take care of your body and your body will take care of you! Remember the best gift to yourself and your loved ones is the gift of health!

We have limited availability on Thursday this week - so jump on it before we close for a few days over Christmas! From Dr Dj - wishing you all a happy holiday season. 11.01.2022 Woohoo!!How beautiful is WA? If you're out and about this festive season please take care of yourselves! Some great road trip tips include: 1. Don't drive tried. If you need to stop, stop! Have a stretch, a walk, a coffee or a nap. You want to arrive alive! 2. Drink water! We often forget or worry about toilet breaks. Don't let this get in the way. Keep a drink bottle in your holders for all the passengers! ... 3. Be sun smart! A glowing tan is beautiful, but so is protecting yourselves from the dangerous UV. Its been very hot and sunny so take care of your skin! 4. Pack your own pillow! Sometimes sleeping on those rough mattresses and pillows in hotels, motels, chalets and swags just don't cut it for your poor neck! Be safe and fun! We'll see you on the flip side! Much love.



09.01.2022 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Which brings on the question ...what goals or resolutions are on the horizon for you??? This year was very....different...to what we imagined. Maybe we didn't see through all our plans, its a nice reminder that we should never take things for granted and always follow up on our hopes and dreams. 2021 brings about a year of change and gratitude. Let's make it count! It might be taking one new hobby, changing into a new job, calling someone you haven't s...poken to or taking charge of that niggling headache or body pain you've been meaning to get checked out! Whatever it is, set a goal and a completion date and do it! we can't wait to hear your goals for the new year!! Our phone lines are back up and running for all of you who want to book in for 2021.
