21.01.2022 Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing holiday - I know I did. Some body corporate managers have re-opened today but unfortunately the bulk won't be back until the 9th. For me it's a slow start to the year (yay!), a great opportunity to review where I'm at and where I'm going. I've lots of plans this year including a Do-It-Yourself disclosure statement for those who're confident on body corporate matters.... 10.01.2022 The next round of proposed changes to QLD strata legislation has been released. Some interesting changes being mooted. Pets and smoking topped the list. Smoking I get, absolutely. My son smokes and I really dislike the drift. It would be great to have the right to protect yourself.... Being able to ban pets absolutely though? Not sure I agree with that one. I have never understood objections to pets beyond not making a nuisance. What does it matter if I have a pet and you never hear it? What do you think?

01.01.2022 Its difficult for a strata scheme to shut down short term rentals because they're not breaching any laws and by-laws that exclude short term letting are invalid. It seems some schemes in NSW are taking matters into their own hands and using dodgy tactics to scare off holiday makers in an effort to disrupt the hosts. Do you agree or disagree with this sort of behaviour?
