25.01.2022 One sentence tip - Learn body language, dont just presume, or take it at face value. One sentence tip - Learn body language, dont just presume, or take it at face value.

24.01.2022 Remi's update.. Her recall is coming along fantastically - even recalling, multiple times, from the dog next door at the fence line. (Who she would normally have some 'argy-bargy' carry -on with.) Now that she completely understands the recall tone on her remote collar, we can start using it for other areas of her training. (Side point - the remote collar TEACHES... NOTHING. It just reinforces what the dog already understands) Your just flying, baby girl, good job!

23.01.2022 Duece's update.. Every once in a while, a training session doesn't go according to plan, for whatever reason. And tonight was one of those sessions for this handsome fella. Unfortunately he was sooooo over- aroused, that to pursue the session, would be detrimental to both himself & owners. So a discussion was had just on some calming methods. It's going to be a very long haul for this guy, but we ain't giving up!

21.01.2022 Oscar's update.. So, after a 'grandma' moment(cant call it a blonde moment, coz im not blonde any more), i forgot to press the record button..grrr. But this little goofball is starting his remote collar work, in particular, Recall. At just under 8mths of age, he is more than ready. What a smoochable face...

20.01.2022 Welcome Morty & Archie! Look at those faces.. Morty - his walking leaves a bit to be desired.. & his reactivity needs a helping hand. Archie - his anxiety has been getting the better of him. So after a few years on medication, he is finally starting his weaning process, & we can get to the bottom of what's going on for him. Welcome aboard boys. Day 1 has started..

19.01.2022 Welcome Bella! Introducing the mighty, tiny, little pocket rocket.. This little poppet struggles with a big dose of anxiety, over-arousel, & dopamine. So let's take it back to basics, set a stronger foundation, teach her that using her teeth is definitely not ladylike & help her chillax. You got this sweetpea

18.01.2022 After yesterday's post on Bonnie in her crate, I thought I'd answer a few queries as to the benefits of crate training. Pros - * impulse control *manners... *respect *threshold manners *focus *safe haven from toddler fingers *toilet training *prevents chewing, digging, barking *RELAXATION And... *your sanity saver if a young dog.... (they need to sleep many hours in a day, otherwise they get mouthy) Negatives - *ugly as hell in ya loungeroom..! For anxious dogs, it is the absolute first port of call for most. Safe haven. For pushy dogs, one of the easiest ways to start teaching manners. Pic of my own set up

16.01.2022 Little miss Bonnie practising her homework today...

15.01.2022 Xena (Next Step Class 2.0)

15.01.2022 Big thanx for patience in bookings/checkins this last week. Our first family holiday in quite some time. We found a house we could take all the dogs to. And of course, they had an absolute blast.

14.01.2022 * Experiment * Since I started sharing all memory posts back to this page each day, the 'people reached' seems to have dramatically dropped. Apparently Facebook doesnt like it.. So, I'm going to stop sharing them, & see if current posts are then actually coming up on everyone's general feed. If you see this post, & you luv watching the progress of dogs each week, please feel free to share any of my posts, comment, or just hit like. And just for fun - post the cutest pic you have of your pooch in the comments below

09.01.2022 Yup, this is how a dog trainers dog sleeps...

09.01.2022 Dougall's update.. Look at this dude rocking it! He's learning to walk beautifully, to have wonderful threshold manners, to keep calm in most situations, & to have respect & manners. Hes gone from an anxious ball of hyperactivity, to this We will do an extra session in a few weeks to make up for one that I had to cut short. But look at this dude - way to go buddy!!!

07.01.2022 BCG of WA - Street Walk..!! Clients only. First one was a great success, so don't miss out. 8am to beat the heat..hopefully, lol ... https://fb.me/e/E0Y2BtJy

06.01.2022 Our BCG trainer catchup 2day. 10 dogs - 4 intact males. 2 intact females. 1 b /t. (Vid is just a bit of fun with Memphis)

06.01.2022 Bud - the reason i became a trainer.

05.01.2022 Update for Greta..!! Not squashing her. Or sitting on her. Chasing her. Stomping on her.

04.01.2022 Bella !! Luuuuuvv getting updates. At the oval on our own. Bella is doing well on the lead and is sitting now with her collar on while we are out and bout. Walked past the dog park too with no barking, just looking at other dogs.

04.01.2022 Gabby's update.. This little drama queen has made such progress in just 7 days, I'm so thrilled for her owner. Today, we walked around the perimeter of a dog park, with absolutely no barking, lunging or screaming - in fact, no acknowledgement at all! It is crucial that little dogs have the same boundaries and structure as bigger dogs should. That is what is going to make them feel safe & secure. Gabby here, is now being given clear guidance on what is acceptable behaviour, & what isnt. Hold tight little one, soon you'll be the 'chillest' sweetpea around..

02.01.2022 One sentence tip - Don't say it, unless you mean itOne sentence tip - Don't say it, unless you mean it

01.01.2022 Another dog killed today in Perth. I dont know full details. But please, unless you have 100 % control - not 95% - then keep your dog on lead. It is NOT cute when a little dog harasses a bigger one. It can cost their life!!!!!!

01.01.2022 Bandy & Flo's update.. Sometimes when an owner has had a traumatic experience, its just as much about building their confidence back up, as it is for the dog. But first, I needed to be able to get near Bandy, without being lunged at. Loads of foundation work the last couple weeks, & woohoo.. he's happy for me to be next to him even tradies were able to come in the house this week. So proud of you guys. (but why do I get all the dogs with the slober..???) And Flo's walking is on point, so next level coming up for her
