20.01.2022 Big thanks to the Kelly Kelly Legal team for choosing Maple & Pine as the venue for their recent staff training day. Kel has been a huge contributor to the Jamestown community's effort to save Bundaleer Forest Picnic Ground, providing pro-bono legal advice to the Bundaleer management board for more than six years. 15.01.2022 The Bundaleer community is super excited to have won a grant for storage and equipment from FRRR under the Tackling Tough Times Together program (funded by the Australian Government). This grant is a game-changer for our volunteers, who will save literally hundreds of hours carting cleaning and maintenance equipment to and from Maple & Pine to keep it spic and span for celebrations there. This in turn gives our Bundaleer community extra capacity to continue to develop Bundale...er Forest Reserve to its full potential, for the benefit of our entire region. 03.01.2022 Rains this week have provided the perfect start for 400 native trees, shrubs and grasses planted recently at Bundaleer Forest Reserve. The trees were planted, guarded, mulched and watered by around 60 enthusiastic geography, humanity and social science students from Jamestown Community School, supported by our incredible MyBundaleer volunteers. We are super grateful to the students for their great work, teachers Danielle Malone and Morgan Wallis for passionately supporting t...he student’s involvement in this environmental project, and to our reliable and hard-working volunteers. The planting completed Bundaleer’s 2021 Creek Rehabilitation Project, which transformed a large section of weed-infested creek line. Big thank you to Northern and Yorke Landscapes SA for financial support of this project through their Grassroots Grants program.
