24.01.2022 While many of us are lucky to enjoy meaningful connections with our family and friends, Christmas can be a time when some people feel even more lonely and isolated. FriendLine is a volunteer driven, free and anonymous telephone service that provides seniors and adults in Australia with an opportunity to chat with a friendly volunteer. The South Australian contact number is 08 7078 6229 or freecall 1800 4 CHATS.... We encourage you to share this post with your family and friends - you never know who may need it!

23.01.2022 With an additional 10,000 Home Care Packages announced yesterday, more older people will get the opportunity to be supported with a home care package in 2021. It always pays to do your homework, and speak to at least 3 providers before deciding on which approved provider you choose to support you.

23.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.... 20.01.2022 We were pleased to present our Victor Harbor My Care Solution Ambassador Award to our caregiver, Swetlana Lana is 73-years-old and lights up any room she is in. The feedback we receive from our clients about her is outstanding, and she regularly makes creative collages and drops them into the office for decoration. Lana was overcome with emotion when we announced her award. Thank you, Lana, for all that you do!

15.01.2022 As an essential service, our role during this circuit-breaker lockdown is to keep our clients as safe, protected and reassured as possible. We're doing this in the following ways: Ensuring all caregivers across Adelaide and Victor Harbor are wearing masks when providing support in the home as well as PPE where it is identified as being required. Providing our full range of essential in-home care services to ensure our vulnerable clients do not go without during this tim...e. Suspending new client intake, new staff intake and in-home consultations. Ensuring essential office staff are wearing masks while working. Organising masks on behalf of all clients when requested. Providing assistance with grocery shopping to ensure clients can limit their outings and reduce their risk of exposure. Strictly reinforcing rules that require caregivers to remain at home and get tested if they show any flu-like symptoms. For more information on how we are handling the recent COVID-19 announcement, please call our head office on (08) 8331 9922. Stay safe, and let's all play our part over the next 6 days to ensure we can spend Christmas with our loved ones.

14.01.2022 Members of the My Care Solution Community Club recently had the opportunity to have morning tea at a local farm. Clients were able to get up and close and personal with the horses, giving them pats and feeding them fresh carrots. Clients then enjoyed an assortment of morning tea goodies accompanied by our highly trained caregivers and Lifestyle Coordinator, Kathy. A wonderful day had by all!

14.01.2022 Help is at hand if home isn’t safe for you during the circuit-breaker lockdown. Please share with your family and friends.

03.01.2022 We are set to swelter with 40 degree temperatures across South Australia over the next few days. Stay indoors if you can. Check on your elderly loved ones. Drink plenty of water. Never leave your children or animals in your car. If you need SES assistance, call them at 132 500. If it’s a life-threatening emergency, call Triple Zero (000).... A special thank you to our Caregivers who will be working through the heat to assist our elderly clients.

02.01.2022 Please note a number of locations and buses have been added to the COVID-19 watchlist in the past hour. If you have visited any of the locations during the listed times, you do not need to self-quarantine but you do need to monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if symptoms appear. Let's remain vigilant and play our part to reduce the spread and keep South Australia safe - especially for our most vulnerable.

01.01.2022 The kind of community spirit that will get us through the next 6 days... We are in this together!
