24.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our MSC members that participated in Sail Bowen over the weekend. Looks like it was a great weekend of sailing.

24.01.2022 SHARING ACROSS CLUBS - big boats, little boats 15 young KBSC sailors and their instructors joined four CCYC yachts for a 2 hour sail on Wednesday afternoon. The... Discover Sailing event was organised by Conrad Byrt from KBSC and Rachel Craven from the CCYC. Both are sailing instructors at their respective clubs. The skippers of ESCAPADE, MIM, KINGS RANSOM and KINDRED SPIRIT shared their experience and skills with the sailors and the boats were soon tacking and gybing in close company on Keppel Bay. The existing sailing skills of the young sailors made it easy for them to adapt to crewing on larger vessels with larger gear. One group learnt that a two speed self tailing winch on the yacht costs more than a fully equipped sabot! The group assembled back at the club and there is strong support to continue these events. The option of offering Keelboat courses perhaps in a modified form and cost was considered as well. The parents were also keen to participate in the next event.
