25.01.2022 With the children's school being nut free I wanted to have a nice treat for them to enjoy that was but free. Try this, Date and Coconut slice! 2 cups desiccated coconut 2 cups dates (soaked) pinch Himalayan pink salt, teaspoon vanilla. Blitz until completely combined and then press firmly into a slice pan, refrigerate until set and then slice and serve or freeze in airtight container :) enjoy



24.01.2022 Clean Kanga Bangas with sweet potato garlic mash & steamed greens. I like to cook my kanga bangas on the weber q so I get those started first on medium heat so they cook thoroughly without burning. Whilst they are cooking simmer some sweet potato in salted water until tender, drain and reserve liquid, mash & add a sprinkle of ground garlic, if too dry add a little of reserved liquid. Chop some zucchini steam together with Brussel sprouts and broccolini. Don't forget to keep an eye on your sausages turning them regulary, I also add a few fresh whole mushrooms to the weber. Once sausages are cooked serve up with garlic sweet postal mash, zucchini, broccolini & Brussel sprouts :)

24.01.2022 Clean Banana Oatmeal Cake, have to write this one down before I forget! Delicious! 1 cup Spelt Flour 1 cup Oats 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder... 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 4 ripe mashed bananas 1 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs beaten 1 tablespoon coconut oil Mix dry ingredients together then add wet ingredients and stir till just combined. Pour batter into a loaf pan that has been sprayed with olive oil spray ( you could also use baking paper) & bake at 180 degrees for 55 minutes or till skewer comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 minutes then remove and cool on rack.

24.01.2022 Clean baked sweet potato with spiced chicken and wilted silverbeet. First I cleaned and scrubbed my sweet potato, cut in half and sprayed with olive oil and sprinkle of salt, wrap each half in foil and bake at 200 degrees for 30 mins. Whilst they are baking I sealed my chopped chicken breast in a pan with 4 cloves fresh garlic and one chopped onion, then add some cumin, garlic powder, onion flakes, oregano flakes and paprika once yet are stired in add chopped silverbeet and toss till wilted, meanwhile chop some fresh lettuce and tomato. Carefully take sweet potato out if foils and place on plate, chop in quarters and dot with cottage cheese, then add chicken and silverbeet mix, top with lettuce and tomato and a dollop of Greek yogurt! This was so yummy!



23.01.2022 Banana Coconut Bread This recipe is completely Paleo, I was going to make my usual banana and oat bread but discovered I didn't have any spelt flour. Why not use coconut instead. Coconut flour absorbs a lot of liquid so only a small amount is needed and quite a few eggs. Recipe as follows! 5 mashed bananas, 5 eggs beaten lightly, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 tsp vanilla extract, half cup coconut flour, tsp salt, 2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1 tsp baking powder and half a tsp baking soda. Mix all wet ingredients in one bowl and dry in another the. Add dry to the wet and combine! Let sit for 5 mins whilst you great a loaf pan and then pour into loaf pan and bake at 160 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes (fan forced). This is amazing, moist, naturally sweet and completely gluten free! Kids loved it!

22.01.2022 Clean Kanga sausage rolls, one piece rye mountain bread roll up one and a half sausages and use some water or egg to stick together at end, brush with more water or egg and bake for 30 mins at 180 degrees, I basted with more water every 10 mins and turned them half way through cooking. They were great even master 2 loved it! Quick and super easy lunch :)

22.01.2022 Clean Chicken Skewers My kids call the chicken iceblocks cause they are on a stick :) One large skinless trimmed chicken breast pulsed in food processor until mincy One grated carrot One grated zucchini... 2 cloves minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander 1/2 teaspoon stock One tablespoon wholemeal spelt flour. Salt and pepper Mix with hands and form around skewers Bake at 180 degrees for 15 - 20 mins depending on oven and size of skewers. You can really add anything into these and flavor them how you like. I love how you can hide all sorts of veggies in them and the kids love them! I served ours with some potato mash. See more

19.01.2022 Clean Chickpea patties with salad. One onion diced One capsicum diced One carrot grated finely One zucchini grated finely... 2 cloves fresh garlic minced One can drained rinsed chickpeas Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion flakes 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 2/3 cup rolled oats Pulse all ingredients a few seconds until combined in food processor and then shape into patties and cook gently on stove in a pan sprayed with olive oil. Flip carefully as they don't stay together very well until cooked. Serve with salad of choice! Mine was fennel, kohlrabi & lettuce with balsamic dressing!

19.01.2022 Clean cheesy cauliflower and silverbeet was the star of dinner last night! I was very lucky to come home to a large box full of freshly picked cauliflower, broccolini, kohlrabi and silverbeet! So to make the cauliflower bake I lined my dish with 3 silverbeet leaves sliced in large strips then placed my steamed cauliflower on top and then silverbeet stalks on top of that, then whizzed 3 eggs, 3/4 cup cottage cheese, one garlic clove minced & some onion flakes, salt and pepper until blended and poured on top, baked at 160 degrees for 30 minutes! Served with rib steak, sweet potato mash and steamed broccolini!

18.01.2022 Clean crumbed dory fillets with sweet potato mash, steamed silverbeet and fresh tomato. I made breadcrumbs using the crusts from burgen bread, bake them in the oven till golden then blitz in food processor. Beat an egg and season then dip fish in egg and crumb. Spray lightly with olive oil and bake at 180 degrees for 10 mins ten turn up to 200 degrees for another 5 minutes - was perfect!

18.01.2022 Clean Spelt buttermilk banana pikelets. Fluffy and delicious, I made these pikelet size but they can easily be made into pancakes as well. 1 banana mashed 1 cup spelt flour 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 egg... 3/4 cup buttermilk 1 teaspoon vanilla Pinch salt Mix all together & let sit for 10 minutes. Spoon into pan greased with coconut oil & flip when bubbles appear.



18.01.2022 Clean Wholemeal banana pancakes! We had these for breakfast this morning with some pure maple syrup, they were amazing! I used 2 cups wholemeal self raising flour, two teaspoons baking powder, pinch salt, two eggs, 1 3/4 cups unhomogenised skim milk & a teaspoon of honey & a teaspoon coconut oil, whizz all this thoroughly and then add two ripe mashed bananas and fold them through. Heat some coconut oil or olive oils spray in a pan and cook one at a time flipping when bubble appear. Serve with pure organic maple syrup :) What a treat for a lazy Saturday morning :)

16.01.2022 Clean eating veggie quiche baked in red capsicum! This was a simple and yummy lunch today, whisk two eggs a tablespoon cottage cheese, half a grated zucchini and half grated carrot, quarter of an onion diced, sprinkle garlic powder, sprinkle onion flakes, salt & pepper, sprinkle paprika and a sprinkle of coriander, mix well and spoon into prepared capsicum. Just take a sharp knife and cut around the stalk, then carefully remove stalk and seeds, give inside a rinse out and a shake to remove any remaining seeds. Once you have spooned in egg mixture, place capsicum in a muffin tray (this helps to keep it upright) and bake for approx 20 mins or until egg is set. I had a bit if left over egg mixture so I just poured that into muffin cases and baked at same time for kids to have as a snack!

16.01.2022 Clean whole wheat pizza dough, 3 cups of whole wheat plain flour, 290mls water, 3 tablespoons olive oil, 1 sachet yeast, pinch salt and teaspoon raw honey! You can mix by hand but I cheat and use my breadmaker easy as and done in an hour, this makes two bases :)

16.01.2022 Clean eating Beef rissoles with fennel, kohlrabi, lettuce and avocado salad. I used a lovely piece of rib fillet steak trimmed and whizzed in my food processor to make the mince. Handful broccolini 4 cloves fresh minced garlic One diced capsicum... One grated carrot One diced onion 2 tablespoons pecorino cheese 2 tablespoons burgen breadcrumbs One egg Salt and pepper & some Cajun seasoning. I whizzed the meat and minced garlic, onion & capsicum and broccoli in the food processor for a few seconds until Mincy and well combined then using your hands mix in all other ingredients. Place in a lightly sprayed oven pan and bake for approx 20 minutes depending on your oven turning once at 200 degrees. I made some small meatball sized ones that the children enjoyed eating off toothpicks! For the salad chop all ingredients and then dress with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and salt. See more

16.01.2022 Clean sweet potato, corn & silverbeet frittata, this was simply amazing! Love love love sweet potato in frittatas!

15.01.2022 Clean Watermelon Apple & Orange Iceblocks! I love that I can give as many of these to the kids and know they are completely refined sugar free! They love them! First I whizzed about a cup of watermelon and poured that into the iceblock moulds, set for an hour in freezer, then whizzed a large apple and an orange and poured that on top of watermelon and pop in the sticks. Set in freezer few hours and watch the delight on the children's faces as they enjoy their total fruit iceblocks! I also love that I can use the whole fruit and not just the juice so they are getting all the goodness! The possibilities with these are endless, you can make them with all sorts of fruits! Perfect for summer!

15.01.2022 Clean Date Cupcakes with chocolate maple icing 1 1/2 cup Oats (processed until fine) 250 grams pitted dates soaked in boiling water 10 mins 3 tablespoons coconut oil... 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 eggs 2 tablespoons date soaking water 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda Whizz all ingredients in food processor until combined and divide between 10 cases, bake at 160 degrees for 15 mins or until cooked. Then melt a small chunk of organic dark chocolate and add in a tablespoon of maple syrup once melted, it goes icing type consistency then just spread on each cupcake! The two at the front haven't been iced to give you an idea of the lovely golden colour :)

15.01.2022 Clean Besan & Buckwheat Spirals with Bolognese sauce! 250 grams extra lean beef mince One diced onion 4 cloves fresh minced garlic Brown off those ingredients and then add a bottle of home made tomato sauce or two tins of puréed tomatoes or 700 mls of fresh puréed tomatoes. Add some salt and pepper to season. I then add one grated carrot and I blended up a large handful of broccolini and added that as well. I find pasta sauce is a great way to hide veggies! I also added some fries basil, oregano and chives. Simmer this away keeping it moist for approx two hours. Then boil up your pasta as directed, draining with sauce and serve with some freshly grated pecorino :)

14.01.2022 Clean Cajun Jambalaya! 1 chicken breast diced 2 chorizo sausages sliced 200 grams peeled green prawns... 1 onion diced 4 fresh minced garlic cloves 1/2 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp majoram 1/2 tsp onion flakes Sprinkle chilli powder 1 tsp stock Salt and pepper to taste 1 can diced tomatoes 1 1/2 cups brown rice 1 capsicum diced 1 carrot diced Handful button mushrooms sliced 1 zucchini sliced Handful cauliflower florets 3 silverbeet leaves and stems chopped Add chicken, sausage & herbs and spices to pot and brown, then add very thing else except prawns and silverbeet. Also add 2 cups water or enough to just cover everything and simmer away stirring occasionally, adding water as needed. When rice is cooked add prawns and silverbeet and cook 5 minutes then serve!

14.01.2022 Clean salami wrap! This is my families home made salami, we make it every year so I know exactly what's in it :) So I popped a tablespoon low fat cottage cheese, 4 thin slices of salami, grated carrot and some cos lettuce on a mountain bread rye wrap YUM!

09.01.2022 Clean Cauliflower Sushi! This is my first time making cauliflower rice and I couldn't believe how simple it was! I used half a head of small cauliflower and whizzed in in the food processor for a few seconds checking until it became rice consistency. Then I just steamed it in the microwave for approx 8 minutes. Add about a tablespoon of rice vinegar and stir through and let cool down. Then spread out on Nori and add filling, I just used some fresh avocado and carrot, roll up and serve with tamari sauce. 1/2 head small cabbage made enough for 4 rolls. Yum!

09.01.2022 Clean Lentil Soup with Besan & Buckwheat Shells! Rinse lentils then add one handful per person to pot, add two chopped carrots, one chopped potato, a 1/2 cup chopped sweet potato, one diced onion, two ripe tomatoes chopped, 2 minced garlic cloves salt and pepper to taste. Cover the lot with water and simmer 1 hour, then add pasta, one handful per person and cook 10-15 mins until tender, add water when needed to keep it soupy! Yum yum!

07.01.2022 Clean caramel tart! This is amazing, three layers - crumb base, caramel centre & chocolate top! All clean & organic! For the base I whizzed 1/4 cup raw almonds, 1/4 cup shredded coconut, 1 tablespoon coconut oil and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Process until ground and combined, if dry add teaspoon water and whizz again, press into small oiled slice tray fairly thin. Bake at 160 degrees for 10 minutes then let cool and press down with back of spoon to compress. Next whizz 3/4 cup ...dates, 1 tablespoon raw honey, 2 tablespoons almond and chia spread. You will need to keep scraping down the sides and rewhizzing. Spread this over crumb base, I found using a spoon dipped in boiling water made it easier to spread. Next melt some raw dark cacao chocolate I used about 1/4 cup, and pour over the top, spread out thinly and set in fridge or freezer if your in a hurry! Slice into small pieces once set- YUMMO!!! 07.01.2022 Clean spring rolls, first I chopped all my veggies, grated carrot, grated zucchini, red capsicum diced, mushrooms diced, cauliflower chopped, onion diced, 3 garlic cloves minced and one chicken breast finely diced. Brown chicken, garlic and soften onion in a pot with some olive oil spray then add veggies and splash of soy (perhaps 2 tablespoons) sauce continue cooking I also added a teaspoon of raw honey & a little salt to taste. Once veggies are tender and all sauce is reduced I spoon tablespoons into softened rice paper and roll them up. Place in oven pan that has been lightly sprayed with olive oil. Once they are all rolled up and in pan give the tops a light spray and bake at 200 degrees for 10 mins, turn and bake other side 10 mins or until crispy!

06.01.2022 Clean butter chicken. I used one chicken breast diced and browned that with one diced onion and 4 minced garlic cloves in some spray olive oil. Then added my spices, 1 teaspoon paprika, half teaspoon cinnamon, half a teaspoon ground coriander, half a teaspoon turmeric, half a teaspoon ground ginger, half a teaspoon cumin and one stock cube, stir this until spices become fragrant. Then add a can light coconut milk and tablespoons tomato paste, I also added veggies to mine as I like veggies in my butter chicken then simmered away until veggies are tender and serve on a bed of brain rice!

05.01.2022 Clean eating vanilla cupcakes with coconut honey icing. 3 large apples peel cored chopped and stewed 2 & 3/4 cups wholemeal self raising flour 1 cup unhomogenised skim milk 4 eggs... 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 cup organic rapadura sugar Whizz the apples, sugar and vanilla in the food proccessor then add eggs one at a time and whizz add flour and milk alternately and stir gently until just combined. Spoon into party cases and bake at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until cooked. For the icing I blended two tablespoons coconut oil and two tablespoons of honey then added a tablespoon of coconut flour. Put in fridge until just set and stir with a spoon to combine. Spread onto cupcakes and enjoy!

04.01.2022 Who needs KFC when you can have CBC! Clean baked Chicken burgers and baked chips! Delicious and healthy! I chopped up my fresh potatoes to make my chips and spread then out in my Bessemer baking dish, spray lightly with olive oil spray and season with salt. Bake for 10 mins on 220 degrees then add one chicken breast seasoned with salt and pepper and place in dish bake an additional 20 mins turnong chicken once and flipping chips occasionally so they brown evenly. If you have a really large breast then adjust cooking times accordingly. Mine was a small breast so only took 20 mins. Spread low fat cottage cheese on one slice of burgen bread place chicken breast on top and then fresh lettuce. Serve with baked chips!

04.01.2022 Half clean half non clean chicken pizza on whole wheat fresh pizza base, can you guess which is the non clean half?

04.01.2022 Clean beef meatballs with roast veggies and Greek yogurt. I used 500 grams extra lean beef mince, one chopped onion, half grated zucchini, half grated carrot, half cup home made burgen breadcrumbs, 2 eggs, some cumin, garlic and oregano plus salt and pepper. Mix up with you hands and roll into balls, place in a spray oiled dish and bake for bout 20 - 30 mins depending on size if meatballs, turning once. Roast vege is simple chop pumpkin, fennel, capsicum and Brussel sprouts and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper and spray olive oil, add to dish and bake for 30 mins. Serve with corn on the cob and dollop of Greek yogurt. To make fun for kids I put 3 balls on a skewer do them to eat & dip in yogurt :)

03.01.2022 Clean Chicken cottage cheese and broccoli roll served with steamed veggies. This was super easy to make and so delicious! 2 skinless chicken breasts trimmed and pulsed in food processor until Mincy I also add my salt and pepper to it before I pulse so it's all mixed in together. Spread that out onto some glad wrap in a thin rectangle then spread over about 200 grams of cottage cheese, then spread over broccolini and some garlic powder and onion flakes. Use the glad wrap to roll it up removing the wrap as you roll, mush the ends together to seal and wrap in glad wrap and put in freezer for an hour or two to set a bit so it stays together whilst baking. I baked mine at 200 degrees for about 30 minutes and turned it once to get the lovely golden colour.

01.01.2022 Clean chicken chorizo paella with brown rice! Delicious, brown one chopped chicken breast and two fresh chorizo sausages in some spray olive oil together with a diced onion and 5 minced garlic cloves, once sealed add two teaspoons paprika, one teaspoon garlic powder, and stir in to make spices fragrant, then add two cups water and one organic stock cube, when simmering add one and a half cups if brown rice and simmer away. Add one diced capsicum, one diced carrot, one zucchini and simmer away for approx 25 mins adding water if needed, add chopped broccoli florets and fresh snow peas during last 5-10 mins of cooking depending how cooked you like them!

01.01.2022 Clean Quinoa Apple & Cinnamon cupcakes. 2 cups Quinoa flakes 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt... 1 ripe banana 2 Granny Smith apples cooked till soft 1 teaspoon cinnamon 2 tablespoons raw honey 2 eggs Blitz quinoa, baking powder and salt in food proccessor then add other ingredients and blend till smooth and combined. Spoon into cupcake papers and bake at 160 degrees for 10-15 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
