16.01.2022 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander's Children's Day is a national celebration of children, in recognition of children of the Stolen Generation who may have disconnected with special events from their youth, such as birthdays. This special event is celebrated annually on the 4th August. It is a time Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities, along with all Australians, celebrate the strengths and culture of our children. It is an opportunity for us to show our support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as learn about the crucial impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child. Today presents us all with an opportunity to reflect on the children we know, embrace their strengths and celebrate their successes as a community.
