25.01.2022 Ok its August. And yes July flew past, like it does every year. And with it Plastic Free July, Dry July, and All Or Nothing Day; when "people break free of everything holding them back" apparently. I failed July.... Sure, I still run Blue Ginger Picnics, Australias first (and pretty sure only) plastic-free, gold award winning outdoor dining tourism experience). But I also purchased pre-package rocket from the supermarket and didnt place the bag in the soft-plastic recycling And...there was that night at Jimmy Wahs when I couldnt resit those Chilli Margaritas - so I had two. I took my All Or Nothing Day fear to the dog beach where the 60kg Bullmastiff threatened to eat Murph for breakfast. Brave little guy chased her off to protect his ball. Thats my All Or Nothing Boy! So...July wasnt perfect. August wont be either. Nor September. But that doesnt mean Im stopping my fight against plastic. Yet...Im not putting myself in the naughty corner when I slip up. My body will continue to tantrum when I drink alcohol, but Ill still add to my gin collection. And theres no need to take on the Bullmastiff as shes now scared of Murphy. Theres a lot of guts in that 4.5kg fluff ball. Its another day, another month (wow...is it the 3rd already? Its flying past!) and another chance to do my best, however that looks. I didnt hit the gym this morning like Id planned. I didnt meal prep for the week like Id planned. I didnt finish updating my website like Id planned. Murph and I are off to the beach, later than planned. But, I did have a Make My Day Chai Latte as planned. Its like brushing my teeth, just cant start my day without it. If you crave at least one thing going as planned this August (maybe giving up caffeine, sugar or dairy to help your hormones) grab your bag of My Daily Chai (www.mydailychai.com.au) and use the code FREESHIPPING. Its a good plan.

24.01.2022 Meet Nutmeg and Cardamom; two potent ingredients that help treat sleep disturbances such as insomnia, restlessness, and anxiety. NUTMEG As a stress inhibitor, Nutmeg helps calm your nervous system, detoxify your body, reduce insomnia and strengthen your immune system.... Ayurvedic medicine recommends adding a pinch of nutmeg to a glass of warm milk before sleeping. We use almond milk as it doesnt overpower our blends like dairy and soy milk. Plus, almonds contain tryptophan, an important nutrient that helps promote restful sleep. CARDAMOM Valued for over 4,000 years, Cardamom is believed to contain anti-inflammatory and cancer-fighting compounds. Its also a natural treatment for respiratory tract, congestion and circulation ailments. According to Ayurveda, cardamom is an key spice for balancing the three Doshas - Vatta, Pitta and Kapha. Cardamoms warming properties help to soothe your body before bed. If you need a little support with getting to sleep at night, our new Tuck Me In blend may help. Leave a comment below if youd like the pre-launch VIP code to try this delicious bedtime brew.

24.01.2022 During Women's Health Week I'd planned to share numerous posts with you, thanks to the amazing resources from Jean Hailes for Women's Health. But something else happened. I spent several days hiding in a stunning mountain cabin at La Rocher Eco Retreat with my hubby.... In our eight years of marriage, we'd only celebrated one anniversary together, this was number two. Grounded airlines mean he's no longer working (and home all the time but that's a post for another day!!) so we took a mini-trip in our stunning region #thetweed. After all, we were married in #northernsw at Fig Tree Restaurant & Rooms so celebrating here is perfect. And yes, I took my to-do-list and laptop. But was, fortunately, rescued from looking at either due to limited internet signal. Which meant, rather than posting on socials, responding to customer service emails, ordering stock, proofing packaging, creating facebook ads and the zillion other tasks involved in running two businesses, I did something more important. Chilled out with Steve. We spent time together without distractions. We sat in the hot-tub and watched the sun set over Wollumbin (#mountwarning) while drinking my FAVOURITE Champagne, it's Champagne Billecart Salmon if you ever need a birthday gift hint We collected firewood in the rain, I love doing farmy stuff. We ate a delicious Blue Ginger Picnics platter of local produce purchased from Murwillumbah Farmers' Market. We played backgammon, I'm still the champ. We sat next to the fire and listened to the downpour. We reconnected, when there's so much disconnecting us all these days. So even though it WAS Women's Health Week, not posting, working or planning was the best thing for my mental, physical and matrimonial health. Tip for today - do less so you can spend more time exploring your local region. All the small businesses will thank you for it. I'll get back to posting all those women's health resources next week. Huge thanks to Kristy Mason // Photographer (formerly Fig Tree Photography), for capturing these shots on our day. 22.01.2022 Chai Muesli Cookies and warm almond milk with our new Tuck Me In blend, before bed. Gluten / sugar / caffeine / additive free bedtime snack to help calm your nervous system and induce sleep. Night

20.01.2022 Yay for spring Although, living in the Northern Rivers means gorgeous autumns and mild winters so Ive been loving the weather since April. Its summer I find difficult. Humid and hot isnt for me, so Im making the most of spring before my least favourite season rolls around in a few months and I have to hibernate in aircon.... Whats your favourite season?

20.01.2022 Impacting lives, one woman at a time

16.01.2022 When you run your own business (or in my case two businesses...plus a household of five - which is like a third business) theres no such thing as weekends. But Saturdays do have a vibe thats different from the rest if the week. A kind of work and rest day rolled into one.... Its often my most productive day if the week. Saturday planning helps the rest of the week run smoothly. First - vising the farmers market, in the rain. Its important to support those dedicated stall holders who turn up no matter the weather. Todays market mission is stocking up on picnic supplies for @bluegingerpicnics anniversary bookings this week. Second - back home to dry off then adding our new Tuck Me In blend to the store! Were still waiting on bags so a few weeks off being able to ship...but so excited about this new blend. Its become a permanent part of my evening ritual. Third - food prepping for the week and making soup for dinner tonight. Rain and soup are a perfect match Whatever youre up to this weekend, I hope its a smooth blend of fun and creativity.

16.01.2022 You become the choices that you make today. Keep them simple.

16.01.2022 The loud crash brought an end to my Saturday sleep in. Ms 18 and Ms 25 stood at the top of the garage staircase, attempting to sneak into the house undetected. It was 6.55am this morning.... Me: Morning. Have a good night? Ms 18: I told you not to drop the recycling bin lid. Ms 25: Well we couldnt leave our bottles out for the neighbours to think were grubs. When you live in a place that boasts 300 sunny days a year, a rainy Saturday is a welcome change for a potential lazy morning in bed. But mum duties called as water bottles were filled and sleepy girls headed to bed. Now the suns out (what happened to those predicted thunder storms?), so Im swapping my sleep-in for a trip to the Farmers Market. Until more mum duties are needed this afternoon! A Make My Day Latte on almond milk then Im out the door. What do you have planned this weekend?

16.01.2022 Did you know @mydailychai started life as an addition to my morning smoothie? Despite many warming Make My Day Latte's and chai morning oats, the Morning Breaky Smoothie is still my favourite way to start the day. A recipe card for both the perfect smoothie and latte is included with your order, but in case you're craving THE BEST Breaky Smoothie right now, here's how.... THE WHAT 1/2 frozen banana (or frozen cauliflower for fruit-free) 1/2 cup ice (pre-crush for sensitive blenders) 1/4 cup of your favourite nut (cashew, Brazil, hazelnut) 1-2 tsps My Daily Chai - Make My Day blend 1 or 2 Medjool dates, pitted (or 1-2 tsp honey/maple syrup) 250ml coconut or filtered water Dash of pure vanilla extract THE HOW * Whiz everything together in a blender until smooth * Pour into a mason jar * Sip through a stainless steel or bamboo straw - because plastic sucks * Enjoy!

14.01.2022 You're doing a great job, whether it's raising a family, renovating a house, running a business or doing groceries with gloves and a mask. It Sunday so take a break from all those "must dos" and acknowledge all that you do do.

14.01.2022 It would mean the world to me if you would share @mydailychai with the gorgeous women in your world who are struggling with low energy, fluctuating moods and sleepiness nights. In the comments, please tag a women you love who needs a 100% organic and natural remedy she can add to her hormone balancing toolkit

13.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day to this wonderful dad and grandad and to all dads, grandads, step-dads and soon-to-be dads. While were not often in the same place at the same time @tonyusher, I love every moment when we are.... Hopefully it wont be long until were able to get together again

13.01.2022 Saturday morning oats cooked with coconut milk and a teaspoon of @mydailychai Make My Day blend. Stir in a teaspoon of organic maple syrup, raw local honey or rice malt syrup, then topped with walnut and shredded coconut. Breakfast is served!

12.01.2022 Weekend, thats a wrap - night xx

12.01.2022 TEENAGE GIRLS are prescribed The Pill to help skin conditions and hormonal mood imbalances. What she needs is patience, support, exercise and healing foods that nurture her skin, body and mind as she transitions into womanhood. SLEEP DEPRIVED MUMS, struggling with the demands of a newborn, are prescribed anti-depressants to stabilise fluctuating birth and breast-feeding hormones.... What she needs is an extra pair of helping hands, living foods to heal her body and feed her baby, and encouragement that shes doing an amazing job. MID-LIFE WOMEN are prescribed Hormone Replacement Therapy to trick her body into thinking its not changing so she can avoid that dreaded menopausal transition. What she needs is recognition for all shes achieved, understanding, knowing the people she loves have her back and simple daily habits that help support her changing body. Prescribed pills may mask hormonal symptoms and imbalances, but they reduce your bodys innate wisdom to heal, change and transition into each life phase. Lifestyle pressures can make it difficult to see a way forward without the help of these little pills. And while its always important to consult your medical practitioners if youre experiencing symptoms, its also important to listen to the innate wisdom of your body. Movement, meditation, connection, communication, healing foods and herbs, surrounding yourself with supportive people and spending time in nature are powerful remedies for many hormonal symptoms. Like a matriarchal elephant whos ancient wisdom enables her to lead the heard to water, food and safety, your body draws on her own well of ancient wisdom. This knowing is often lost behind prescribed antidotes, which may help in the short term, but numb these messages over time. Take a moment to listen to what your body is telling you. Even small changes can make these messages clearer. Reduce caffeine, swap a wine with a fruit spritz or walk in nature. You are amazing. Your body is amazing. Were here to support you. Contact us if youre struggling with hormonal issues and well reach out to our team of experts for their guidance and wisdom.

12.01.2022 Whatever goals youve set yourself this week, remember to acknowledge all the tiny wins along the way. Its tempting to foucs on what you havent achieved and dismiss what you have. Each step, no matter how small, moves you a closer. And deserves recognition.... Congratulations for all the steps youve taken to this moment You CAN make it happen, step by step

12.01.2022 Yay for strawberry season Berry Chai Smoothies are rolling our for breaky every morning and the freezer is stocked with these beauties. Freezing just-picked fruit has a minimal impact on nutrients. Just avoid defrosting (they can turn into mush), toss straight into your blender for a healthy morning boost.... Eating seasonal makes sense - youre eating the freshest and tastiest food available. Its tempting to grab those regular favs in the supermarket fresh produce section. But when you visit a local market and buy seasonal produce, direct from a farmer, youre supporting your health, the planet and a farming family. So were filling up on berries while theyre in season and loooking forward to mangos turn.

11.01.2022 This cute little guy follows me around 24/7 and MUST be on my lap whether Im drinking my morning chai, working at my desk or sitting on the couch (not that I get the chance to very often ). Meet my Spoodle, Murphy How can I resist those puppy-dog eyes! Post a dog emoji below if you also have a fur baby that follows you everywhere.... by tweed_coast_photography

10.01.2022 Have you met My Daily Chai founder, Tania Usher? Learn why Tania created My Daily Chai, and why she hopes you become the next addict...in a good way! Hi, Im Tania. I LOVE chai, yet Im often disappointed that so many cafes serve sickly-sweet, chemical-laden chai powders and syrups that leave me feeling queasy.... So a few years ago, I started making my own blend to add to my morning smoothie. Frozen banana, ice, a handful of nuts, filtered water, a spoonful of my blend, and mornings were sorted. Then I hit that time of life where my daily fantasy was to run away from home and live in a small country town in Southern France. Read more... https://www.mydailychai.com.au/pages/about-us

10.01.2022 I burnt a hole in my desk while experimenting with elements in my chemistry set. I also burnt five fingers when I picked up a tray fresh from the oven. Experimenting and food proved hazardous in my teens.... But, Ive persisted thought the decades and can now, safely combine the two. My recent experiment combines @mydailychai with berries. Its an unlikely blend. But it works. And no fire extinguisher or burn bandages required. With strawberries in season (well...in winter sunny Northern NSW) its a great time to dabble in a few concoctions. So my new Strawberry Chai Breaky Jar is now a morning fav. Like having desert for breakfast. Leave a fruit emoji in the comments if youd like the recipe

10.01.2022 My adventurous spirit lead me to live and work in four countries and travel to 41. Learning about local places, culture, food, history and people is at the heart of exploration. And its sad to see once bustling towns, silent and struggling.... Yet despite the devastating impact travel restrictions are having on many amazing places around the world, theres stories of revival, innovation and unity. Unlikely collaborations and new experiences are emerging. The spirit of adventure is still strong, just closer to home. For the moment, exploring local food, nature, people, culture and history may only reach as far as your own street, suburb, town or state. But stay curious. Learn and explore what you can, where you are. And when restrictions ease, explore a little more. One day, youll get the chance to go further, then further. You might be surprised at what you uncover. ........ In my gorgeous region #thetweed in #northernnsw Im learning about indigenous Bora rings, volcanic soil, organic farming, ancient rainforests, birds of prey and local sea snakes (bumped into one on the dog beach). Im listening to stories from our traditional land owners and meeting family-run, small business owners that are shaping our region. You dont have to travel far to hear a fascinating story. Theres no rush to get somewhere else. Make the most of where you are, while staying as safe as you can. Hugs Tania xx Founder @mydailychai

10.01.2022 In support of Womens Health Week, were sharing a series of posts over the next few days to help keep you (and your hormones) happy. In the crazy buzz of daily life, its often difficult to make good health a priority. Yet, small changes can make a big difference to your physical and mental wellbeing.... When I adopted a morning routine to help calm my nervous system, my days ran smoother. As progesterone starts declining in peri-menopause, its harder for your body to manage stress. So soothing your system, from the inside, becomes more important as you age. Of course, reducing stress is important at any age, yet managing it becomes more difficult as your hormones start changing when you hit 40. Its why I created the guide for you "7 Simple Steps to Boost Your Energy & Balance Hormones" which you can download from the website, link in bio. Experience how a simple morning ritual flushes out toxins, cleanses your digestive tract, boosts metabolism, balances hormones and calms your nervous system. Theres no better time for putting your health first, than Womens Health Week. Its a reminder to check in on your health and make positive changes that can last a lifetime. Watch out for posts this week to help with your sleep, energy, cravings, mood swings and mental wellbeing. Let me know in the comments or via DM if you have a specific health issue youre struggling with at the moment and Ill ask our team of health and wellness experts for their support. You deserve to feel amazing!

08.01.2022 Regular physical activity is a powerhouse when it comes to balancing hormones It releases endorphins, dopamine and serotonin which help improve your mood Keeping active also encourages the development of insulin receptors in your muscles, which keeps your metabolism humming along. BUT...theres no quick fix when it comes to stabilising your mood and balancing hormones ... All the little decisions you make today, impact how you feel tomorrow. So...go for a walk, ride your bike, join a class (if theyre open where you are) or try home yoga. Movement is an important part of hormone health. Even though I do own a pretty watermelon coloured bike, it has a flat so Im off to walk the dog along the beach No excuses, get moving today

07.01.2022 Its the simple things that often make the biggest impact. Like a @mydailychai morning latte. I literally NEED this every day. Add in a little sunshine (helps to regulate your natural circadian rhythm), movement (love a beach walk) and a healthy breaky (think local avo and sliced organic tomatoes on freshly baked rye)...and... Monday is looking good. Then theres those crazy days when 7am seems late and its a mad dash out the door, without food or water. Which makes those simple moments even more precious. How was your Monday morning? Slow, steady or crazy?

06.01.2022 Receiving our first review was followed by yelps of "yaaaayyyy!!". Reading our second, third and now 40th five-star review was just as exciting. THANK YOU to all our amazing chai lovers whove taken the time to share their love with us. Knowing you love @mydailychai as much as we do, means the world to us.... I feel proud knowing that my blends have such a positive impact on the lives of so many women. Whether its helping one, forty, four hundred or four thousand women, Im passionate about creating a range of 100% organic, all natural blends that support womens hormonal health. Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs Tania xx

06.01.2022 If you love creating recipes, wed love to hear from you. After we shared @kinfolkandcos delicious Banana, Date and Chai Spiced Pancakes several days ago, weve had requests for more recipe ideas. So...were spending this weekend in the kitchen experimenting with new chai inspired goodies.... And wed love to add your recipes. DM your recipe (and an image if you have one), and well share your amazingness in our stories and on our website. Happy cooking!

06.01.2022 Go slow, its Sunday. @stylerunnerphd

05.01.2022 Do you ever read an entire mag? Im more of a flick through then pile on my coffee table kind of reader. Im actually going to rename my coffee table to "chai table". Or perhaps "wine table". Theyre the only two bevies its used for.... Publishers could expand "coffee table books" to include "cheese platter table books", or "TV remote table books". And what happens when you move a "bedside table" away from the bed? Does it become a "next to the laundry door table", or "place for the printer table". Or "where you leave the keys table". Naming furniture based on usage would change the entire design industry. Reams of IKEA catalogues would need editing and furniture showrooms props would have to demonstrate accurate table usage. Lucky Ive got plenty of ceramic chai mugs, chai stirring spoons and bags of @mydailychai to accurately decorate my "chai table" But its got me thinking...if you dont have chai related decor for your "chai table", should we include some in our store? Things like hand-built local ceramic mugs and teaspoons. Leave an emoji in the comments if youd love to drink your chai from local hand-built ceramics that look gorgeous on your "chai table"

05.01.2022 Even though I have messy writing, I include a handwritten note with every order of @mydailychai. Yes, it's time consuming. But in this wired world, it's calming to put pen on paper. It just feels more heartfelt than a printed packing sheet, at least I thinks so.... So would love to know. Do you prefer a handwritten note (even if a tad messy)? Or a pre-printed thank you card?

04.01.2022 Yay, exciting day ordering bags for our new sleepy (Tuck Me In) and chilli choc (Pick Me Up) blends. Amongst the zillion tedious tasks required to run two small businesses, the creating and making is the most fun. Ordering bags, means ordering ingredients, which means hand-mixing blends, which means new goodies in our store...which means supporting more women needing help with sleep and hormone imbalances.... So am excited today! Post an emoji in the comments if youre keen to try our new blends?

04.01.2022 Its that time of day. A mug of Make My Day gives your body and mind the boost it needs to get your morning started. But without the caffeine, sugar and nasty additives in most morning bevies. Order your bag today and feel the difference within a couple of days, like hundreds of other women are experiencing.... Click link in bio to shop.

01.01.2022 Going for a walk is one of the best ways to help reduce stress and improve sleep. And yep, some days you need to walk longer than others! Walking in nature has the added benefit of calming your nervous system and easing anxiety. Just 15 minutes of daily walking can help balance crazy hormone symptoms.... Some days its hard to carve out time for yourself, so just do your best to gift yourself with a short daily walk. Because caring for yourself has the added ripple effect of benefiting the people around. Would love to know, are you more a beach or park walker?

01.01.2022 Changing lives, one woman, one day and one blend at a time. Post a little love to support Isabelles courage to try something new when she felt desperate

01.01.2022 Do you like whipped coconut cream? Its totally addictive! Renowned as a "good-for-you" fat, a dollop of coconut cream is a delicious way to amp up your morning chai smoothie. The fat content helps you stay fuller for longer. Plus coconut creams natural sweetness help reduce sugar cravings.... As far as cream goes, its our favourite kind.
