11.01.2022 Are you feeling stressed? Or maybe you’re waking up with headaches or neck pain? You may be clenching or grinding your teeth. 2020 has been a particularly stressful year for everyone -and we’re seeing it in our patient’s teeth! Excessive clenching or grinding can lead to permanent damage to teeth and jaw joints. It can cause pain or sensitivity to hot or cold foods, chronic facial pain, headaches and muscle pain, cracking and splitting of teeth, stiffness and locking of the jaw joint and many other symptoms. Chronic grinding can cause life long issues with your mouth. If allowed to continue, eventually teeth can be worn down to their nerves, resulting in pain and potential tooth loss. Our phones will be staffed to provide telephone assistance where possible to patients with dental issues.
