Get curious about your eating habits. Ask yourself lots of questions.... But don’t judge what you do. There’s no room for guilt or shame in this work. Throw out the diet books and magazine articles that offer you the false hope of losing weight quickly, easily, and permanently. I promise you that when you confidently wear your body... whatever size it is... you will be giving other women confidence to do the same. The women who inspire me the most are those who value the body they have right now regardless of size... ... And don’t let weight stigma and Fatphobia get in their way. We all need to do our bit to normalise all bodies. And so long as we continue to believe we’re not good enough and hide in the shadows ... waiting for our body to look a certain way before we do! We are keeping all women stuck in this belief. WEAR WHAT YOU WANT NOW!!! In doing so you’re giving every woman permission to do the same.

12.01.2022 Did I enjoy it? Abso-bloody-lutely. Look how smug I look in my photo :) Did I eat it without guilt? Sure did Did I stop when I’d had enough? Yep ... Was I satisfied? Yes Was I still satisfied an hour later? No Will I have it again for dinner? Probably not. I love cake. I know I can eat it whenever I want, so I don’t obsess about it and I don’t overeat it. When we restrict a food or foods in our diet because of some crappy rule diet culture has told us is true, we tend to start thinking about that food and wanting it all the time. When you allow yourself to finally have that food, you have very little control around it. You will feel guilty eating it and will usually end up overeating it. Restricting your food causes all kinds of problems. 12.01.2022 From my own personal experience, I believe that you won’t be happy at your ideal weight if you were not already happy before you got to your ideal weight. I’m sure you’re rolling your eyes at that statement, you’ve heard it so many times before. But you still believe, maybe a little, maybe a lot that you’ll be happy if you drop those last few pounds. Am I right? ... I get it. I really do. But attaching your happiness to a number on a scale or fitting into those jeans you wore 10 years ago, is a problem. Your struggles with body image, food rules and weight are symptoms of you not feeling good enough. Maybe it’s time to start addressing an issue that no diet, meal plan or fitness routine ever does: self acceptance. 01.01.2022 I spent years, decades even, struggling with the guilt around my food choices. I didn't listen to what my body was telling me or what it was asking for. I gave it what the latest diets were telling me I had to...which was never what I truly wanted. My life was a constant food struggle. Thoughts about what I was going to eat and what I had eaten pretty much consumed my whole day...pretty sure i used to dream about it too. And then, along came Intuitive Eating! I learnt how t...o take away the morality of my food choices. I learnt to slow down so I could listen to what my body really wanted. I finally began healing my relationship with food. Was it easy? Nope. But it was worth it. I don't wake up worrying about what I am going to eat or not eat. I don't avoid social situations so I am away from food. 01.01.2022 So many of us put our lives on hold until we reach our ideal weight. I won’t buy any new clothes until I reach that weight. I won’t start the gym until I’ve lost that weight.
