Here is a sample from the Oxford range for grade 2. Pack includes an assessment book with pre and post unit quiz plus colour workbook. Each unit begins with a learning summary to explain the math concept about to be learnt. Then there is guided practice, independent practice and extended practice. 15.11.2021 Who likes a good primary school resource? Hands UP..! I have an wonderful resource for primary school aged children called "My Personal Dictionary". This book is fabulous as it allows children to understand how to use a reference book through the creation of their own personal version. It is ideal for hand writing as it uses specific handwriting fonts for practicing handwriting skills.... Included is phonics pages on short vowel rhyming words. Provides special illustrated word lists at the back of the book, covering different themes such as animals, body parts, seasons, technology and much, much more. It also includes all 500 Oxford word list high-frequency words. This book will grow with your child as their vocabulary grows and it will help improve their spelling and hand writing. But to me the most important fact is that it is a self motivated resource which allows a child to learn as they grow. 28.10.2021 Lets talk about resources for teaching WELLBEING. The Home Education Summary and Program (HESP) requires parents to provide for the education of the child in matters relating to safety, health and well-being. To assist parents there is a wonderful resource available called "My Wellbeing Journal". It is available for ages 4/5 (grade 1) right through to year 12. This resource has been carefully researched and developed to assist in the development of well-being and resilienc...e for children and young people of all ages. This resource provides a personal space for students to express their feelings, fears, goals, struggles and opinions without fear of judgement from others. It also allows a way for parents to have conversations starters they may not necessarily had before. It also covers healthy eating choices, how to seek help and for older kids, it covers lots of more mature issues like cyber safety, bullying, physical changes, respectful relationships and much, much more. I am using this resource with my own children and have found it to be fun, informative and prompting for my children to think deeper about their relationships, decision making, goal setting and self-awareness.... (and we are only in week 9) It is also great for building on things like learning first aid, beach safety, what to do in an emergency and lots of other extra important things we all have to learn. Excellent value and lots of additional benefits, as you get more than a book. I have researched and trialed these textbooks myself and highly recommend them. If you are only after one subject they can be purchased separately. There are also heaps of textbooks available for years 11 and 12....
