17.01.2022 I was diagnosed in 2014, and I turned to Myeloma Australia for information as I’d never heard of myeloma before. I am a retired Science Teacher and I’ve been married for 47 years to a very supportive spouse. We have travelled extensively, completing five bicycling, tenting trips over much of Europe. We both enjoy community volunteering especially with the Ukulele Club. I am fit, and love to walk, swim, cycle and play jazz piano. I appreciate the ability to read about other people’s experiences with myeloma in the MyeNews magazines and being able to speak to a myeloma nurse if needed. And I can still play the piano even with peripheral neuropathy in my fingers! Glen, living with myeloma since 2014, and a regular donor to Myeloma Australia.

04.01.2022 Often people don't realise that Myeloma Australia is not government funded. We rely on the generosity of our donors and partners to provide our services - all of which are delivered free of charge to ensure equitable access. In the past year, we supported 12,807 people, creating ripples of impact for people living with myeloma and their loved ones. Each week, 38 Aussies are diagnosed with myeloma, and we need to be there for them and their families. Please consider making a donation (small or large - every dollar makes a difference) to our end of year donations appeal. THANK YOU for your support - you are truly making a difference for people living with myeloma, and their loved ones. https://myeloma.org.au/donate
