20.01.2022 A little bit of a sad note to start 2019 on, but very true. Hope you've had a good start to the year and are able to spend some time speaking to your elders :) #myfamilyisastory #talktalktalk

12.01.2022 Love this. I sometimes wonder what my life lesson will be if I ever hit 100! #noregrets #focusontheimportantstuff

09.01.2022 Ever wonder if your parents or grandparents were a lot cooler than you at the age you are now? Christos here is about to turn 80, but we reckon he looked pretty James Dean when he was in his 20's :) #thequiffrules #personalhistorybook #80yearsyoung

09.01.2022 "Mum used to do it hard. She made our clothes from the cast off of others and my sister Clare was allowed to take clothes home from the rag bag, where Mum would rework them into something you could proudly wear. Knickers were made out of flour and calico bags." Nellie, aged 87. #Nelliesmum #myfamilyisastory #personalhistory

04.01.2022 "Our horse was called Bonney. He was a wonderful horse. Wonderful. We used to get four kids on his back and he didn’t mind, he’d just take them for a little trot around. And if you fell off, laughing and giggling and carrying on, he’d just look at you like 'get up again you silly lot!' Poor old Bonney. When Dad used to go and get full as a tick at the pub, the fellas would sit him in the sulky, tie the reins around the front bit and smack the horse on the bum and they’d come home full pelt. Bonney would go full trot to the cottage, through the gate posts with only a little space to spare from the wheels, with Dad tied up in it. Mum would get him and bump him on the bed and let him sleep it off." Nellie, aged 87. #thecottageisstillstanding #personalhistory #myfamilyisastory
